Game developers reduce performance and limit FPS to keep the profits in the hardware graphics market up. No one would buy an 8800 series gpu if Crysis wasnt such a resource hog. Discuss!
just bought a new pc today. i feel like the hermit in me has awoken once again. lol still a manticore though i guess. so ya i got a pretty good pc for only $1100. here are the main specs. with that said, what games do you guys think i should get to take advantage of my new pc power?
intel 2 quad core 2.66 ghz
1 terabyte harddrive
4 gig ram
8600 gt graphic card (not bad for stock but i may get an 8800 soon even though i used to be an ati dude)
thought i should pick up crysis to see what the big fuss is all about. also picked up call of duty 4 today, even though i have the 360 version that i have been playing for months now! i got it for pc cuz i know i'll own at it more even though i do enough of that on live. plus i want to be able to look over walls and what not lol. will be picking up my ps3 june 12 and maybe.... maybe a wii sometime later on. gaming just got a little more interesting for me! 8)

Your pc sucks hard. One 8800 is not considered high-end and let alone 8600
