Fact: Sonic the Hedgehog used to be the name of a gene on chromosome seven of the human genome.

Also Fact: The origonal Game Boy is the best selling video game system of all time, both handheld and overall.

Also Also Fact: The Atari is named after a Japanese word meaning success.

The Battlefield series. Looking forward to Battlefield 3, can't wait to watch it kick COD's ass.

I have all 3 current consoles, and pretty much ever console before the current 3. For the next gen, it'll depend on what it always does -- the final system specs, and the games that are produced on them. There's no way to say for sure this soon; all I can say is that I will at least own the Microsoft or Sony next-gen systems, if not both. The new Nintendo system's going to have to woo me with some great games first.

If great games like Gears, Bioshock, Halo, and others can have their movie adaptations endlessly "delayed", "postponed", and all out canceled; I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Then again, if this files to theatres without a hitch, I may just give up on video game movies forever. =(

I tried out Outpost Kaloki as recommended, it's ok, but very basic and the effects didn't last very long. I want something new, with new graphics, and improved everything, someone MAKE IT HAPPEN.

For those LOOKING for a good tycoon game, I would recommend looking into Startopia. This game was made my Mucky Foot and flew under-the-radar upon it's release. Most people I talk to have never heard of the game, but I don't care what review you read or where it is, it's a freggin' good game. Check it out if your looking for some new tycoon meat to munch on.

WTB new tycoon game. Paying $50. PST.

Most of us have played them, and lots of us loved them, but there did they all go?

Anyone know of any new tycoon games that are up-and-coming in the next year or so? Someone needs to unearth Roller Coaster Tycoon and make a new one, or any of it's competitor games; tech. has come so far since I saw a big release of one, I think it's about time for a new one!

Please allow multiple stylesheets with the version we like the best. I do not want this new style at all, I go on Gamespot every day - I like something that is simple and nice on my eyes. This does not help at all, just leave things alone or let people who have spent years going on this site to revert back.

I didn't read this whole thread, just the OP. I have been a member of GameSpot since December of 2003, and have checked the site almost every day. I'm not a person that's against change, but I find that a lot of the material I'm used to checking, is no longer on my front-page. For example, I don't like that the news isn't in the upper-right corner anymore, as I think the game ranking were just fine in the bottom center, as they do not radically change often. While I don't necessarily believe that there needs to be an option to pick between the two settings, a way to customize your "personal homepage" for registered users, would be nice -- so that we can arrange to see the material we want to, how and where we want. This new layout isn't bad at all, and is very modern, which is likely to be the new-norm. No matter what happens, I'll still be checking this site every day, so in the end, as long as you keep it up and running, I don't care what it looks like (but it sure helps!)

Interesting results, I would of hypothesized more people pre-2004 than posted, but of course those people may have more interesting things to post on =D

Carry on!
