Well it was mostly marketed as a show for little girls, but the creator of the MLP also wanted to entertain the parent as well the child.

I watched the first episode on Youtube a while back after reading the Neogaf thread (a really, really disturbing thread). Typical children's pablum. I don't understand why anyone my age would continue to watch it, let alone praise it.DJ_Lae

Episode one and two aren't the best in the series. I would recommend watching episode three or four.

I was asleep for most of my time in high school, but I got passable grades.
