"Bringing back stealth more in line with the original games". Yippee!!!
"Mass market appeal"...fail (granted I'm not sure they can mess up more than what they did with Conviction). I guess selling more copies is something I'll never win an argument against but all I know is that one of those purchases won't be coming from me unless this game really is more like the originals.
Well I was ticked off at ubi for not allowing me to change my user name on stupid uplay but this just looks too awesome to pass up on (plus the fact that it's standalone means that I can start fresh with Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon using my new uplay account...perhaps they'll allow me to merge accounts one day - HAHAHA yeah right).
Anyway looks really cool (already had me at "laser-breathing dragons"...watching some gameplay online just cemented it).
Looking forward to visiting the original Half Life universe again...it was something so unexpected back then when I played it - something I instantly fell in love with.
Plus I haven't really cared much about Half Life these last few months/years because there's been nothing else to care about with Valve most likely focused on the Steam platform and a new graphics engine.
I do agree with him about how so many new games in the same genre coming along is actually a good thing - the more we get to play the better. Diablo III, Torchlight 2, Path of Exile, Grim Dawn - just awesome! They're jerks though only because they've taken something I really love and combined it with something I really despise - The Diablo franchise combined with forced online...for something that I only ever loved to play on my own anyway.
