I've felt this way a lot. First thing you have to do is realise that these people are from the internet. Yes, they have valid opinions, but they shouldn't effect what you do IRL.
To be honest, I found Resistance pretty dull. It was a good game that delivered what it set out to do, except an immersive story. It was well explained, but boring.
