A higher refresh rate in an HDTV usually equates to a better internal picture processor.

But thats not always true. It depends on the manufacture and if the TV has any bloated features.

But lets skip all of that. Lets work on what you do have which is a nice LED TV.

I havent seen any disturbing jaggies in my PS3 games.

I mean, I guess if I got up close and really looked, I could find something. But perhaps I havent played the games you have.

You could also try Sonys web site and perhaps youll find a helpful calibration.

A higher refresh rate cuts down on the (Jaggies). The bigger the TV, the higher the refresh rate should be if you want a nice picture. I wouldn't have posted otherwise.

I just hope Sony does not repeat what Microsoft has done.

Keep the system well ventilated. Dont place it in any sort of cabinet. Preferably, keep it ontop of a table or an entertainment center. Make sure it is sitting on a flat smooth surface. Make sure nothing else is sitting too close to the system. Preferable is at least 12 inches all around the system. Especially the front and back.

If you place a fan near the PS3, make sure its not blowing into the back of the system. As this is where the hot air comes out of the PS3 to keep it ventilated.

What makes the PS3 Skyrim worse? I'm just curious since I was considering picking it up for a while and the PS3 is my preferred system.

When Skyrim PS3 was released, it had serious code problems that caused the PS3 hardrive to thrash.

Skyrim became unplayable after a certain point. Bethesdas forums, YouTube and a few gaming sites lit up with multiple complaints. There were even a few developers addressing complaints on the problem.

Bethesda has pushed through multiple patches to correct the issues. Though some still claim the problems remain. Ive tried three patches... then I gave up on the game.

Thank goodness for returns and trade ins. Two games that could have been the next E.T. console crashing mess.
