He just sounds like he had preconceived notions regarding what the game should have been, and when it didn't fit into his box, he was disappointed. He's entitled to his opinion.

What is that achievement?"If They Came to Hear me Beg" I swear I should've gotten this achiement! I've done it over and over and over again. Exactly as they say in the video. It will not give it to me. I am very upset...

So, I realize Halo:Reach is a prequel to the prior Halo games, but based on the ending, it looks like the Master Chief character dies, or is it not even Master Chief? I'm just a little confused. He's called "six" the whole game. Is the whole campaign completely unrelated to Master Chief?
Thanks.

The fact that he isn't called Master Chief should have clued you in that it isn't Master Chief you're playing as.
Initially I thought this took place after Halo 3, on another planet that wasn't aware of Master Chief, his history, etc, so they just gave him a name in their crew. I didn't exactly do a lot of research or read the game box.

I personally thought the game got so repetitive that it became a chore to finish the game, although I did finish.
Yeah, I think the DS has plenty of great games that warrant the purchase of a DS/DS Lite/DSi/DSi XL, I probably have more DS games than I have games for any of my console systems. The main question at this point though, is this: do you have any interest in getting the DS replacement, the 3DS? If so, I would probably recommend holding off on buying a DSi XL until September 29th, that is the date when Nintendo is supposed to reveal the release date and pricing of the 3DS to the public. If it turns out the 3DS is coming out sometime in November or December, as many have speculated, then it might be worth waiting to buy a 3DS instead of a DSi XL. Otherwise, if the 3DS isn't coming out until sometime next spring, your DSi XL purchase would probably be worth it, since it'll be a while until the replacement comes out anyways, and the prices of the DSi and DSi XL were recently reduced, so it's a decent deal for you. Just my two cents.

Ahhh...great point! Thanks everyone--I had completely forgotten about the 3D version. I'll wait for that.
Love the big screens--a lot. Just kind of wondering--are they enough good games to warrant my purchase? I'm not a huge fan of cartoony games, or word games. I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
I'm staring at my Dreamcast right now. The Dreamcast is the saddest game story ever IMO. It was such a great console, completely and utterly eclipsed by the PS2 launch and Sony's muscle. I logged the most hours in Hydro Thunder, and I could never, ever beat Lake Powell. Grrr!!!! Argh!!!! Seriously angers me.
...I paid $150 and it's in very good condition, although my father and I cleaned it up (and touched it up) so it actually looks very nice now. That was about three years ago. Now the picture is starting to get warped on one side. Is this common for classic arcade machines, and is it something that just needs to be calibrated?
Thanks much.
