[QUOTE="Inconsistancy"][QUOTE="WAaAHHAAHAHHAAH"]crysis 2 on ps3 i was just playing one section there looked to be some overlapping light volumes well the performance was god awful when i was looking into direction. doom3 doesnt have as much of a performance hit overlapping lightsources. Doom3 also looks like complete garbage after id had to set the texture quality so low to fit it into 64mb. As well as using some horrible stencil shadows that have disgusting hard edges, and are 100% black. And trust me, if you played doom3 on a ati9800se, it's performance nose dives when there are multiple light sources. differed rendering is supposed to be able to handle more lightsources than foward rendering. Well that doesnt appear to be the case, doom3 can handle overlapping light volumes with less of a performance hit. brink and prey 2 are using the doom3 engine. PLUS STENCIL SHADOWS ARE MORE HARDWARE INTENSIVE THAN CRYSIS SHADOW MAPS. shadow maps have pixelated edges.

Not just saying it. cryengine 3.0 sucks at indoor lighting compared to doom3. doom3 on xbox they didnt remove shadows from lightsources. crysis 2 on ps3/360 they removed like 50% of the indoor lighting shadows. obviously cryengine 3.0 is worse at handling many lightsources in one area.
