Wait, so I have a Xeon 3.2 GHZ, 2 Gigs Ram and a X1650 with 512 onboard ram, and I won't be able to play this on high quality?

"What do you think Sony should do to make the PlayStation 3 worth buying? Share your thoughts in the comments below. " I guess most of us forgot that was the point of this topic. Regardless of what your love/hate relationship with Sony is, everyone will have to deal with the fact that there is a problem. The business model for Sony has been sketchy in the past with some hits and other misses. The PS3 is not going to be a miss, but right now (at this moment), it's not the hit that it was expected to be. There are several issues that need to be corrected right now. 1. The price: remember if people can afford it or not, is not the issue. The issue is of the people who can afford it, why are so few buying it? I don't know the answer. 2. The content: They need to bring up their heavy firepower games and exclusives. These alone can increase the demand of the console. 3. The online component: It's not vital, but it can only help. 4. Their developer support: The complaints about the kits that were sent out are out there, and that is odd for something that Sony puts out there. So argue your points, and post violently if necessary, but if you don't think that Sony cares about the issue, then you would be really wrong. I would start my education on the Nikkei.

Wait a minute, Is this forum only for programmers and developers? Because some of you seem to be intimate with the inner workings of hardware for both the 360 and PS3. Guys, unless you can program and are familiar with the architectures involved here, you have no idea if/ when/ how Halo 3 (Unless you work for MSS) is going to max out the 360, nor do you have any idea whether or not the PS3 will not be maxed out for a couple of years. Keep the discussion realistic. People are buying more Wii and 360s, and that is not going to change until Sony takes into account several issues that include price tag.

People that had to have it, have it by now, and people who could not be swayed to buy it, have not. The price is a huge issue. I bought my first PS2 2 years ago when it was relatively cheap (and somewhat more attractive than the older bigger version). I have a 360, and I quite happy with it, but I'm not $600 happy with it. If it had came out with the same price point as the PS3, there is no way, in this man's earth that I would have made that purchase. Now, with the 360, there were not many great launch games, and with the PS3, there are even less. What about the PS3 makes it a must have? Maybe you are a stauch Sony loyalist. Maybe not. The fact is that there are lot less PS3 buyers at this point than there were for the PS2.
