Mine was after 2 and a half years, came with no warning.
On a plus note microsoft are hella good a getting you a system back, mine took less than a week and then they gave me a month of live gold for my trouble!
I'd love to see a "straight" platformer, no fighting, no collecting, just running and jumping.
Pop was good but i it felt like an on rails/QTE style action adventure game to me and the fighting was so bad and repetitive it made me want to stop playing on so many occasions.
wake up people you think everyone is out there to scam you of your money.

You are right that they aren't trying to "scam" us out of our money but the industry is however just that, an industry and it would be naive to assume that they are only making games out of the kindness of their hearts to make the world a better place.
It would also be naive to ignore the ever more apparent trend (within the console world, its nothing new for PC) of shipping incomplete games only to fix them with patches later.
I have only known it not be double exp weekend once so far, though I must admit I'm not a hardcore halo player.
You can always check bungie.net to see whats going on that weekend, they are really good at communicating with fans/players and are constantly updating the site.
Quieter, more reliable, mouse and keyboard support, a good web browser ('though I'd even put up with MS exploder) and the ability to use any external harddrive instead of a disgusting £120 for the 120gb m$ one.
What he said^^^ except maybe in 3d (levels character models etc.) but stick to strictly 2d gameplay as in SFIV, that seems to be a style decision that has been universally well received.
