@Dirty_Window: But Thor doesn't have 'Man' in the name. Keeping her as Iron Man, and not changing it to Iron Maiden or Iron Woman, is the part throwing me off a little.
@Bread_or_Decide: What was said? I didn't see anything in the post that seemed like it was sexist or racist. Unless a mod changed it or he edited it, I mean.
@Bread_or_Decide: Not exactly, though. She's new, but the alter ego isn't. And I dunno, It's not exactly Supergirl or Batwoman, because she's going to be called Iron Man.
So...I guess she's more like Nightwing? Kinda, sorta. I guess.
@Tiwill44: She's 15 years old...but Spidey got away with using 'Man' in his teenage years too, I guess. Her being called Iron Man is kinda what's throwing me off a little, in how this is being approached.
So...she's going to be called Iron Man? I'm all for diversity and inclusiveness, but at face value this feels like pandering. I mean, kudos for saying the name doesn't matter, I guess? Just feels...like pandering is all. I'll have to read it to see how it plays out, and if she's just called Iron Man. Or, is she called something else but she's really the heir to Stark's mantle? Or I guess she's both, and people think Iron Man is still a man? I guess that'd be a pretty solid secret identity?
I have so many questions. But, first look it feels I'm being heavily pandered.
@arcanesmile: Pretty sure when that happens, I'll buy it again for Xbox One (I currently own it for PS4). That's a game I would gladly buy twice. I just want to give CDPR alls my monies.
Yeah, makes sense. I mean, I guess if we're not getting movie tie games anymore...then simply re-releasing a Batman game to coincide with the release of Batman v Superman does make sense, thus stamping it with the BvS logo and DLC information.
I don't get where all this heat from lack of a female protagonist is being beamed onto Rockstar? Yeah, I agree videogames needs more female protagonists. But, how all that gets thrown onto Rockstar is just weird.
I'm certainly interested. And happy to hear it's a self contained game, and not tied into the upcoming Fury Road film...which I'm looking forward to as well, but just happy Avalanche will be free to do their own thing.
