I saw the fifth season finale of Grey's Anatomy last night. It was definitely the best episode in the show's history. There are spoilers after this sentence so leave now if you haven't seen it.
I hadn't the slightest clue that John Doe was really George. It was so scary! My jaw dropped. I thought he was just going to go to Iraq or something and then maybe make an appearance next year. I had no idea that would be the twist. I didn't understand the 007 thing (someone help me out. What was the purpose of the name and what episode was it established in?), so I didn't realize it was George until Meredith said it. Then I was surprised with Izzie's memory starting over. I wondered, "How will she get out of this?" and I liked how it happened, but then she just crashed. Awesome twist, even though I kinda knew it would happen. I loved the scene with Izzie in the elevator like in the episode where Denny died, and then George is standing there in his army uniform, and they stare at each other, and they both sorta realize where they are yet they're kinda surprised to see each other. Loved the episode.
I didn't like the Meredith and Derek "wedding" though. It was cute, but I hate how it's never official. Then again, who wants weddings so close to each other anyway? But still, I hope there's a wedding some time next season. I think there will even be a Mer/Der pregnancy. Just my opinion, though.
