OK, so as you know, I am posting my sixth poem today. It's called "The Liar Chronicles." It was written today, February 27, 2009.
I'm tangled in a web of lies
And no one can hear my desperate cries.
I realize as tears consume my eyes;
I can't fight the feelings on which my heart relies.
Oh, what a tangled web you weave
With the lies you so easily conceive.
I don't know what to believe,
But this frustration is something I must releive.
I wither away here in silent despair
'Til I whisper my hopeful serenity prayer.
The universe against me is not playing fair
Because my eternal pain will always be there.
My heart will never stop being pained.
My perfection will be forever stained.
There's a place in my heart where it always rained
Until there was a giant flood, and nothing remained.
Well, what do you think? I blow Edgar Allen Poe out of the water, in my opinion. Haha. :)
