I was playing skyrim and when I reached the town Morthal for the first time, a guard wanted to arrest me and i had a bounty of 1000 gold. This makes no sense to me because Ive never been here, so I really didn't do anything wrong. I did break in and rob multiple households in whiterun, but not even those guards know about it. my friends also play skyrim and they never had this problem, so im wondering if this is some wierd glitch.

I've run into this as well, not sure why reputation or word of mouth or whatever you want to call it can't be more realistic... I mean, how the heck does a guard in one area immediately find out about a crime in another area... that's just so immersion breaking...!
This definitely seems like something they could expose at the framework level for devs to take advantage of... maybe not enough people have an issue with it...?
