Point was that now there are enough knowledge to develop tools and projects on low cost so talented people with low budget can make projects that allows the to access the industry. Without talent acquisition the VR systems you love so much would not have happened at all. Not everything in the industry evolved for the sole purpose of better graphics.
@ECH71: Division is not the best example; It doesn't have lootboxes and can be played solo almost fully. Ubisoft indeed wanted to take a bite on the game as service, and so far they did it nice for R6, but they still keep a good number of game and franchises with a strong single player, both AC and Far Cry, for example, A multiplayer game whose progression is linked to microtransactions and lootboxes is where the big problem is.
