I want to buy counter strike source through steam but I don't feel comfortable giving away my credit card info. Is there any alternative so I don't have to use my credit card?

Why wouldn't it be compatible with old saves? You know how saves work, right? They have nothing do to do with the disc. All that they are changing on these discs are the fact that they are encoding the audio how it should have been encoded to begin with.
