This happened to me when I tried changing the key code. I reinstalled it and it worked fine.

Check out Men of War. It's a newly released WWII RTS without base building. The voice acting is terrible, but it's very impressive apart from that.

I would not upgrade to 32 Bit. I had Vista 32 Bit for a while, and I absolutely hated it. But then I changed to Vista 64, and it's beautiful. The main perk about 64 is ability to have more than 3 gigs of ram, which is certainly helpful when running Vista. Granted, there are still bugs here and there, but I have been happy with x64 for months now.

Yeah, I got mine up to 3.6 for a while, but overall the system seemed a bit unstable. Plus it would idle hot, and under load it was even hotter. I'm planning on getting a third-party CPU cooler and trying again.

Yeah. It also could have been becuase I was running it in DX10 mode, which makes your framerate go down a lot, although I didn't know it then.

I've got an E6850 30 ghz., but it's currently overclocked to 3.4. My last 3DMark Vantage test gave me a score of H6417, and I'm running Vista 64 with 4 gigs of ram. Now that I look at it, I'm running Warhead in DX9 mode with all settings set to Gamer, no AA, and I'm getting 35-45 FPS.

I would say, if you can afford it, and you don't want to spend the money on a higher end card, SLI is a good choice, and you'll definitely see at least some improvement in your graphics.

I have 2 Zotac 512mb 8800 GT's in SLI, and the performance is admirable at 1680 x 1050, but not mind-blowing. I wasn't getting anywhere near 30 fps on Very High on Crysis, although High performed more or less ok. That is, until you get out of the alien ship. After that my frame rate became ridiculously low. I had to turn most of my settings down to medium. CoD 4, on the other hand, is amazing. Easily runs all graphics on high and AAx4 at 60-100 FPS at 1680 x 1050. At this point in time you're probably not going to get a huge performace boost with any other cards besides a 280 GTX or 4870 X2. Or maybe 260s in SLI.

I use a 22" widescreen monitor with a 1680X1050 resolution for both my computer and my 360, and it works out well. There seems to be something about the 360's resolution that makes my eyes hurt after a little bit, but it's not too bad. Either way, it's way better than a regular TV.

BF1942 is fun, but you should try the Desert Combat mod for it, if you haven't yet. I have a few friends with low-end computers who can't run BF2, and we have tons of fun playing DC instead. I almost like it better at times because of the faster loading times and overall simplicity.

I like aspects of both, but I definitely prefer normal mode.

I love how hardcore has no HUD, which is more realistic, but I hate how the weapons are more powerful and it takes much less skill to kill someone. Also, not having a HUD makes it less necessary to use a silencer on your gun. I think my perfect mode would be having radar but no crosshairs or other HUDs, and having the hit requirements of normal mode.

Back in the day my friend and I spent hours and hours playing Need For Speed 3: Hot Pursuit on split screen. We would both run from the cops, be the cops, or one be the cop and one the runner, and it never got old.

Also, check out Little Fighter 2. It's a silly side scrolling game that is a lot of fun, and can be played by up to four people on one PC (assuming you can find ways to get enough controls).
