A large Row Between Sony Computer Entertainment and The Church Of England has broke out due to the contraversal use of Manchester Cathedral in Sony's new Smash Hit.... Resistance: Fall of Man.
Families of Victims of Guncrime in Manchester and The Church of England have Branded the Game 'Sick' and 'Highly irresponsable'.
The Church Of England are considering taking legal action unless the gameis removed from shelves and sony make an official apology. However, Sony Claim it contains the killing of aliens not humans but the church is having none of it.
In My opinion, Ifthe game, currently number one in the charts, Is removed, its popularity will only increase. Perhaps if Sony haf used a fictional Cathedral, although it wouldn't be as real, their would be little contraversy. Like Resi 4 for example.
Also I think that the company, if they are going to use a place of significant importance, should get permission. However, We don't see this happening in games that feature Big Ben,New York and all sorts of places.
Whats Your Opinion on all this?
