I was looking through my Games list a day or two back, and I tried looking at it a lil' different. What I had noticed was that I could sort the list by various topics, and one that caught my eye was the Genre heading. So after clicking on it, my list was reorganised somewhat. What I saw was quite interesting, as I was just not aware as to how many different Genres of Games I own...
For example, I own at least one Game in each of the following Genres:
- 2D Fighting
- 2D Platformer
- 3D Fighting
- 3D Platformer
- Action
- Action Role-Playing
- Adventure
- Beat-'Em-Up
- Board Game
- Business Strategy
- Car Combat
- Computer Role-Playing
- Edutainment
- Fantasy Action Adventure
- Fantasy First-Person Shooter
- Fantasy Shooter
- Fantasy Turn-Based Strategy
- Futuristic Racing
- GT / Street Racing
- Horror Action Adventure
- Interactive Movie
- Mech Sim
- Mission-Based Driving
- Modern Action Adventure
- Modern First-Person Shooter
- Modern Tactical Shooter
- Modern Turn-Based Strategy
- Pinball
- Puzzle
- Racing
- Real-Time Strategy
- Rhythm / Dancing
- Rhythm / Music
- Role-Playing
- Sci-Fi Action Adventure
- Sci-Fi First-Person Shooter
- Sci-Fi Real-Time Strategy
- Sci-Fi Shooter
- Sci-Fi Turn-Based Strategy
- Shoot-'Em-Up
- Space Combat Sim
- Sports
- Strategy
- Tennis
- Virtual Life
- Wrestling
That list is kinda scary, as I had NO idea that there were so many (and varied) versions of the same Genre. I look at a FPS and didn't consider that the time period it was set in would make a difference - but it does.
So do any of you out there own Games from different Genres from the ones I've listed? If so, what's the Genre and what Game is it? I'm interested to know what else is out there...
In the meantime, make sure you all...
GAME ON! :D
