I'd say Halo 3 is your most child-friendly option. Crysis, Battlefield, Rainbow 6 Vegas and a few of the other shooters you mentioned are filled with 'bad' language and more violence geared toward other humans, as opposed to aliens (which some people frown upon).

Though I am not too sure about Skyrim, Dark Souls or Deus Ex, but that's what I'd go with.

I'd recommend Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway as well. Slower-paced compared to the call of duties, I feel, but is a solid game nontheless. Medal of Honor Airborne was alright, I would only pick it up if you can find it for around $10. Wolfenstein was entertaining, solid gameplay and an interesting premise - Pretty good as fictional storytelling in a WWII setting goes. The Saboteur I have but have not played. but I've heard good things... though I believe its in the 3rd person action genre.

Those are my recommendations.

Do you mean ADS? Aim Down the Sights? Yes, it is easier to aim that way and gets you into the game more. Shooting from the hip run moving around fast and then when you need to get a good shot in you bring that gun up to aim better. I prefer it in games

Agreed - but for me I think the style of the game is a factor as well. For instance, like one of the posters said above,F.E.A.R. could have used iron sights / ADS, but with a game like Halo, I think the lack of iron sights suitedthe gamejust fine.

I've purchased one game at launch (Halo 2), and I regretted it. I generally don't pay more than $10 for a game. Most usually around $3 or $4. My Steam collection is massive, and my Xbox collection is over 500.muthsera666

Holy fack!

Haha, you got a list compiled anywhere?

We have to buy a new console, right? if so, no

Kinect is compatible with any 360 model. The slight advantage of the S model is that you can plug the Kinect in to draw power directly from your console, otherwise, if you have one of the older models, the Kinect will need to be plugged in to another power supply.

You misspelled medal.

Not a total flop, but definitely over-hyped. Luckily I stuck with BFBC2.

That seems to be the general conclusion - In its state, this game is no COD-killer. I opted for BFBC2 as well.
