[QUOTE="WhiteSnake5000"]There's a difference between literally and word for word. You take everything the bible teaches us literally. But when you try to say that the bible was written as a scientific text book then you've gone a little far. It's a book that are suppose to teach us moral, social, and spiritual truths. It wasn't written to tell us how the earth rotates, the boiling point of water, and how animals evolved. Listen to the truths it teaches through the etiological stories in the first few chapters of the bible. I'm not sure what a "spiritual truth" is. Care to clarify? If the Bible is not meant to be taken literally. What is the point in Christianity? I really hope you don't need a book to believe in God or have good morals.

There's an awful lot of stuff in the Bible that I think most humans tend to need remedial training in. :P
I do see your point there... lolIf the Bible is not meant to be taken literally. What is the point in Christianity? I really hope you don't need a book to believe in God or have good morals.
I skipped my 10k, and I'll be doing the same for 20k... lol I'm not a fan of those threads either. They are quite stupid imo.
