"You won't be missed."
Yes my dear friends, Wiitendo is offically in love! And I gotz lots to share with everyone so grab a chair and listen to my story.
So in real life my name is Garrett, I got to school, play videogames, write stories, the usual stuff. I have a good bit of friends, not alot, but about 7. Well, before I met these wonderful people I was really self-centered, and read alot during lunch periods and stuff. On the first day I school I sat alone on a bench at lunch minding my business and reading a novel, well I looked over at the end of the bench and saw a beautiful girl sitting there reading the last Harry Potter book. Our eyes crossed and sent us in a retreat looking away from each other in embarrasment. I later found out that she was in my Spanish I class, her name was Julia. I don't know why, but I guess the saying is true, their was such thing as love at first sight.
Well months went on and I could look across the room and see her reading her books, not caring for the subject at all, somebody who could just put the world away, like in her pocket and escape to a different world of her own. I truely grew feelings for her, but soon I met my great friends and we really became close. Andres, one of my best friends, encouraged me to never be afraid and it really helped me today. Anyway I getting ahead of myself. Soon Christmas time came and I knew that she loved books alot so I decided to get her one of my favorite books, Watership Down. Love makes you do crazy things and I went and spent nearly 30bucks for a hardcover edition of the novel, and wrapped it myself. On the last day before the holiday break I saw her walking to the Gym to take the exam for that class, and with great courage I tapped her shoulder, grabbing her attention. With my eyes looking striaght into her's I took the gift out of my bookbag and handed it to her. All I got was a smile with a small thank-you and we went out seperate ways.
When we returned to school Jan.8 (The day after LSU kicked Ohio's ass!) we only made eye contact a few times, but I was afraid to speak to her in class since one of my friends, Alex was sitting next to me, and I would feel embarrased. One day Alex was absent so I got a chance to ask her if she read the book and she said, "Sorry I havn't been able to even read it, my sister conviscated it from me." I just smiled and told her it was alright, but I felt a little sad. Still I was determined never to give up, my friend Andres helped me carry on. My brother soon left to go into the Marines so now it was just me and my sister at home with both brothers in the military. I knew that they had both started new chapters of their lives so it came time for me to start my own. That next week I decided to talk to her. While in Spanish Class, we were in line to get our work checked so I looked over and asked her if she had heard of a book my sister had been reading called, Twilight. She was happy to say she had all three books and that she'd be glad to let me borrow it, so she did and this was only the first step to getting close to her. I talked with her a little each day about how the book was, but I wanted a chance to see and talk to her more, and that chance soon came.
Earlier this week was of course Valentine's Day week, and the school was going to allow us to dress-down (Not wear uniforms) on that day along with a double lunch. (Our lunchs are split into two different times) I had 2nd lunch while she had 1st, so this would be a chance for me to see her for atleast an hour and a half. For someone very quiet I thought she'd have no friends so nothing to distract her from me made me glad. Atlast the day came, and I wore my best cloths walking into school. Well lunch soon came and for the first time I went to 1st lunch. With my buddies I searced everywhere and finally found her with some friends of her's sitting on a bench. I was too nervous and shy to say hello so I chickened out and sat alone while my friends went to see other people. I instead began reading more of Twilight while also keeping my eye in the corner seeing her. I couldn't help but notice that she was constantly looking at me and atlast I saw her walk over to me. I looked up to see her with her pretty smile. I welcomed her to sit next to me and she did. We talked about stuff, making eye contact, and feeling pretty loose. It was great, and I knew that their was a dance this Saturday so I had the mind to ask her but before I could the bell rung. The hour and half of lunch flew by like seconds. She told me that she lived down a street real close to school, and I knew she took the bus everyday. Well while driving home a sudden thought told me to go there, and so I did. (Yes it'd look as if I were a stalker. :P ) As I passed down the street I saw the bus coming down the street knowing she was probably dropped off, I continued and then I saw her walking towards an apartment building, probably where she lived. After that I was in such a good mood that I passed my a store and picked up a cute little valentine's gift, a small monkey plush (Her favorite animal) and would decide to give it to her tomorrow.
Well tomorrow was TODAY and I was nervous. I came to school early to see her, and walk her to her homeroom class, that was next to mine. Today we got our interm-reports (kinda like half-way report cards.) I got passing in everything but AlgebraII (I hate math). Later in Spanish we watched a dumb movie, and afterwards I ignored my friend's yadda and went to her. With a striaght face I asked her if she wanted to go to the dance, sadly she said that her dad wouldn't let her, since she was failing everything. I WAS BUMBED! Heart-broken I went to my C-5 class...where my mind started working. I knew now that I couldn't go to the dance with her but I had to give her the gift. I thought I'd get to her street after school befor the bus and wait for her. I thought it was a silly idea, but I then said to myself, "WHY NOT!?" I didn't want to just give up, I was crazy! In gym I waited for the final minutes of the day, as my friend Andres told me not to give up, but surguessed that I go and ask her if she wanted a ride home instead of the bus. It was raining and I could drop her off right at her doorstep, so I decided to go with that, Plan B. After school I raced to the front of the school, but I suddenly saw her enter the bus right as I got there. I didn't know what to do...but then I said, "%&$^ it! I'm going with plan A! I raced to my car and hopped in turning it on, and dashed out of the parking lot and onto the road. With time against me I hurried through Friday traffic with nothing but sheer will to make it there. Atlast I reached the street and waited by her house in the car. I thought many times of just leaving and forgeting this, but I remembered Andres' advice, I couldn't fear what I truely wanted, and right now I wanted her and nothing was going to stop me! That's when I saw her, walking in the rain towards me.
I calmly stepped out of my car and removed my shades, with a smile I waved to her. She stopped for a second and gave me a look like, "Holy cow! ITS YOU!" so with a smile I walked up to her and said hi. She looked glad and surprised to see me. I told here I just passed by to say hi, and then she quickly asked for my number saying, "I wanna call you if my dad changes his mind." So I gladly gave her it and then I gave her the gift. Her eyes lite up and it looked as if her heart had melted. So with that I said goodbye and wished her luck with her father. With smilies we both parted and thus I returned to my car where I celebrated by playing, "Panama" on my stereo. So I got home and an hour later she called, with GREAT NEWS! Her dad she she could, but I'd have to meet him tomorrow! I agreed and we said bye for the night.
So that's the story, and I'm in love my friends. But tomorrow I have alot of work to do! I gotta met this girl's parents, and take her to the dance, so I gotta lot on my mind. If I'm absent for a while you'll know why, but I'll be sure to always stop by a little bit everyday even if I'm busy. Okay g-nite.
Researching futher intothe prophecies I came accross info about finding the exact date. 2012,a year that is saidforEarth's end. Many go even further to saythat December 12, 2012 is the exact date. Still I could not believe this, but asI read more and more books it became clear that all these predictions came to one conclusion. The end is in 2012.
Part III:12/21/12
[Well it's finally come to the last chapter of this article series. We've looked into the possible ends of the world, the people or man that may cause it, the prophets who brought us these predictions, and some who've proved wrong with their "end of the world." theories. But now it comes down to the date, 12/21/12, the very date that strikes fear into those who have learned of it's perpose. Wheither fact or fiction the amount of theories is endless, no one truely knows what will happen. Join me one last time as we look into the date of...]

About2012
The big question, of course, is what's going to happen in 2012 - in particular on the winter solstice, Dec. 21.
Here's what is known: The ancient Mayan long-count calendar - a calendar that spans more than 5,000 years - comes to an end on Dec. 21, 2012. This coincides with a galactic alignment in which the sun will align with the center of the Milky Way galaxy, an event that occurs once every 26,000 years, which could have potentially catastrophic consequences. The galactic alignment has the potential to create a shift in the Earth's poles, which would cause disastrous environmental events. Many view this, in conjunction with the end of the Mayan calendar, as a sign of the end times. Viewers of the History Channel should be familiar with this theory, as the channel has featured the doomsday scenario in numerous programs.
But there is another theory, led by the likes of Jenkins, who makes his home in Windsor, and has spent much of the past two decades living and working with the traditional Maya in Guatemala. For him, 2012 is not the end. It's a chance for an unprecedented spiritual awakening. "It's an opportunity for human life to understand our true natures," he says. "There will be a great awakening to the greater potential that human beings have."
Some scholars believe the last day of the Mayan great cycle coincides with the Earth's destruction. A multitude of Mayan-calendar researchers and enthusiasts alike do not find the end of the "Great Cycle of the Long Count" to be a bad thing. Daniel Pinchbeck, author of "2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl," further examines the word 'apocalypse,' as it is falsely used to describe only the end of the world.
"Apocalypse literally means uncovering or revealing. I think the process is already under way. We're on the verge of transitioning to a dispensation of consciousness that's more intuitive, mystical and shamanic," Pinchbeck told New York Times Magazine. The Mayan calendar is not as linear as our modern view on the passage of time. Rather, these ancient people charted repeating cycles based on the moon, sun and other celestial bodies. The mathematical calculations of the Mayans are still very accurate to this day, which is quite remarkable when one considers their lack of technology or modern tools. According to survive2012.com, the Long Count is made up of 13 Baktuns; the count keeps a continuous record of consecutive days and restarts about every 5,000 years, during which a new Baktun begins. Currently, we are in the 13th and final Baktun of the Mayan Long Count, calculated to reach completion in 2012.Despite the proposed end to be less than five years away, the general populace does not appear to be overly concerned. "I don't like to believe that anyone can predict the future," sophomore psychology major Caitlin Bizub said.

What do people think?
[As I said in the previous article many prophets such as Nostradamus have related the end of the world to be along that of the year, 2012. Besides that the true reason behind the 12/21/12 scare is the end of the mayan calendar, but that's reason enough to send the world into a panic. Here's what the online community are saying about the issue.]

Yahoo Question: Will the Earth end on December 20th, 2012 by Mattew D
Answers:
1. "I don't think it will end on that day. But it could be the beginning of the end, toward the start of a new era. Although before this era begins there will be trouble. What probably will happen is major world disaster such as the impacting of and asteriod on the earth. Followed by a massive world war in which radical Islamics take over the Middle East unite it under one empire and proceed to wage war on the West by invading Europe. 2012 is probably the the date where things get started, although it may take some years for for it to fully develop. Biblical and Nostrodamic prophesies also coincide with the Mayan calendar. I believe it will happen." - J7
2. "I'm not clearing my calendar for the day. What did the Mayans know? Their world ended a long time ago." - Snowglode
3. "The 2012 date on the Mayan calender isn't the end of the world, but rather the beginning of a new cycle, much the same way that our annual calender ends on December 31. It doesn't mean that we should prepare for the end of everything, it just means that this calender has run out and a new one is beginning." - CowboysFan
4. "The Mayans Calendar, which is not predicting the end of the world in 2012, but the start of a new era on December 21st, 2012. The year 2012 marks the end of the "Great Cycle." When it came to mathematics, time and calendars, the Maya were geniuses. Believing that time repeated itself in cycles." - Rachelle Cadence of Shangri La

All these predictions about 2012 were most like made up by some wack rich people sitting in a trick apartment bored stupid. Answers:
1. "Not too long until we find out, Eh? No one really knows, apparently. Is it asteroid, Nuke, climate change, Aliens coming to either eat us or take us away? Or, Just the end of the calender because the carver died, or something. People have been claiming the end of the world for millenia, after every eclipse, earthquake or tsunami, so who knows? It may be the end of us, But I doubt the world will vanish. It will be here for the next race to live on till they ruin it enough to get kicked off the ride." - Nick Nameless
2. "In truth 2012 as the Mayans describe it (or so i have heard) is more of a revaluation of the world as we know it and not a calamity or the end of this world. maybe is would be a good thing. we'll have to see" - ayhamco

My Thoughts:
So there ya have it, from prophets to internet users the theory of 2012 is spreading. Time waits on no one, eventually the date will come, and wheither we want it or not that day is going to happen, but will it be a normal blue-skyed day, or our last? No one truely knows the answer, all we have to go on is predictions and ancient stuff. Like many have said, their have been many end of the world predictions that've failed, so why do us, as humans, always look forward to an end? Well it's like reading a book, we read to get to the end, infact we all know that we have an end, but what about the end to everything around us? Yes occasionly we'll all wonder when is the end to this earth of ours, and times we begin to look for answers, wheither they come from the sky or even from a book. We all that this world of ours can't stay forever, 2012 or not, this Earth shall one day be gone to the universe but should that make us give up? No! We all have lives that too end, and it's not for us to stare and wait for doom, we must live, move on and look forward to the future. When 2012 comes we must hold our heads high and live while preparing for the worst. I tell you now that I do not believe in an end in 2012, because I know that I'd do my damn best to prevent anything, I'd stand before the 7-headed dragon, I'd challenge the stars, I'd do everything in my power to protect this home, this world. I do not believe in an end, I believe in a future for all of us. Just like how we believe that there's more after a story, the story of our lives may end, but our souls carry on. My friends never be scarred, look forward to love, peace, and future and if a time ever occured in our life where our world is threatened then let us stand and continue to live on to a bright future.

THE END
Part II: Great Predictions and False Prophecies.
After watching the video I became very interested in the subject of prophecies and the end of the world crap. I quickly began research the following year where I found some shocking info, as well as predictions...that just didn't happen, period! Anyway let us begin:
___________________________
The Great Predictions & Prophets.[As we've learned in the previous chapter St. Malachy was well-known for his prediction of the popes, yet he wasn't the only one to predict such things such as the end of the world. Others may include the famous Nostradamus, to even lesser-known prophets such as Mother Shipton and Kenneth Mackenzie. Anyway let me share with ya some facts and predictions of these prophets.]
Nostradamus - [A personal favorite of mine.] Born in the early 16th century, Nostradamus has become one of the world's most widely known and read prophets. His poetic yet cryptic quatrainsare claimed by some to conceal information about future events. He completed a total of 942 quatrains which he organized into Centuries - groups of 100 quatrains (one Century only had 42 quatrains). "Spooky" quatrains allegedly foretelling the events of 9/11 with incredible specificity were circulating online within hours of the first jetliner crash in New York City saying ""In the City of God there will be a great thunder, Two brothers torn apart by Chaos, while the fortress endures, the great leader will succumb", The third big war will begin when the big city is burning"[This certain quatrain was probably a prank, but Nostradamus did predict such things that are related to the 9/11 attacks.] This one however is real, "Earthshaking fire from the center of the earth will cause tremors around the New City. Two great rocks will war for a long time, then Arethusawill redden a new river. [In a recent History Channel program,The Lost Book of Nostradamus. Was a book of art drawn by his son to illustrate his predictions. One page had a towerwith an exploding flame as seen below:
Other Predictions includes the famous quatrain predicting King Henry II or France.
"The young lion will overcome the older one, On the field of combat in a single battle; He will pierce his eyes through a golden cage, Two wounds made one, then he dies a cruel death. (Century 1, Quatrain 35)" In June 1559, Henry II ignored all warnings that Nostradamus gave him and participated in a jousting tournament against the Comte de Montgomery. Both men used shields embossed with lions. Montgomery was six years younger than Henry. During the final bout of fighting in the tournament, Montgomery failed to lower his lance in time. It shattered, sending a large splinter through the king's gilded visor (golden cage). The result was two moral wounds (two wounds made one and then he will die a cruel death.) One splinter spliced eye; the other impaled his temple just behind the eye. Both splinters from the lance penetrated his brain. Henry lived for ten days in agony, thus fulfilling the Nostradamus prophecy that he would die a cruel death.
This is one of the few prophecies in the quatrains where Nostradamus actually got the year dead on,reffering to the fire of London.
"The blood of the just will be demanded of London, Burnt by the fire in the year 66." - (Century 2; Quatrain 51)
On Sunday morning, the 2nd September 1666, the destruction of medieval London began with one simple spark. In five days a cataclysmic fire destroyed the city of Shakespeare. An area of one and a half miles by half a mile lay in ashes; 373 acres inside the city walls and 63 acres outside, 87 churches destroyed (including St. Paul's Cathedral) and 13,200 houses. Although the blood of the just in the quatrain was demanded of London, only six people died. Some people see the blood of the just as it was translated from the French to mean that justice was done to the Black Death. This fire did the city a great service by destroying the millions of rats that were carrying the Black plague through the cityâ€TMs population.
*Info obtained from Nostradamus101.com*[But it doesn't stop there, even Nostradamus predicted the end of the world on the fateful date of...well I'll let ya read for yourself.]
Nostradamus worked with all 13 constellations when making astrological predictions which takes us to Ophiuchus(pronounced off-ee-YOO-cuss) - the 'Serpent Holder' Ophiuchus is one of the 88 known constellations and was also one of the 48 listed by Ptolemy. It is a large constellation located around the celestial equator between Aquila, Serpens and Hercules, northwest of the center of the Milky Way. The southern part lies between Scorpius to the west and Sagittarius to the east. Of the 13 zodiacal constellations (constellations that contain the Sun during the course of the year), Ophiuchus is the only one not counted as an astrological sign. In connecting the astrological 'dots', remember all that you've read here about the Eye of the Milky Way Galaxy, 2012 and the Ouroboros. Ouroboros is an ancient alchemy symbol depicting a snake or dragon [DNA] swallowing its own tail, constantly creating itself and forming a circle.
[This made it clear that he too believed that the end of the world would be present in the year 2012. Now let's get off of Nostradamus because I can go all day about that guy, anyway let's here of another prophet.
Mother Shipton is another prophet, since 1641 there have been more than 50 different editions of books about Mother Shipton and her prophecies. Most of her prophecies mostly delt with England. One prediction follows, ]
"The maiden Queen full many a year
Shall England's warlike sceptre bear.
Those who sighed, then shall sing,
And the bells shall changes ring.
The Papal power shall bear no sway,
And Rome's trash shall hence be swept away.
The locusts from the Seven Hills
This English Rose shall seek to kill -
And the Western monarch's wooden horses
Shall be destroyed by Drake's forces."Mother Shipton also speaks of the death of Mary, Queen of Scots, and the achievement of an uneasy peace in war-torn Ireland - just another of the curious parallels with our own time. In the same passage she refers to the beheading of the Earl of Essex. Elizabeth loved the arrogant, ambitious, fiery Essex but those very qualities made him her rival and in the end she agreed to his death. She was nearly 70 years old but she still loved him and she must have been tortured by what she felt she had to do. It was not long after Essex's death that Elizabeth herself died, a lonely figure at the end.
"The northern line of Tweed
The maiden Queen shall next succeed
And join in one, two, mighty States
then shall Janus shut his gates."Mother Shipton died at the beginning of Queen Elizabeth I's long reign. It is said that she predicted her own death in 1561. Perhaps it was a fitting moment. In her own way Ursula Shipton had been a part of the turbulent age which had seen so much great change in England. Her voice had been heard in the highest places in the land, sometimes as a warning, sometimes as a kind of commentary, throughout those dark years of conflict.

FALSE PROPHECIES
[Both prophets made great predictions, but their are even some who have failed in predicting the future as well as the end of the world. Let's meet a few.]One major boo-boo was back in 1205 when Joachim of Fiore predicted in 1190 that the Antichrist was already in the world, and that King Richard of England would defeat him. Of course this never happened.
[Sure the guy made a harmful prediction but this next guy, Benny Hinn was jus a pure moron that had 0% of his prophecies come ture. Here's some of his famous quotes that we all laugh at even today.]
"The Spirit tells me - Fidel Castro will die - in the 90's. Oooh my! Some will try to kill him and they will not succeed. But there will come a change in his physical health, and he will not stay in power, and Cuba will be visited of God."
"The Lord also tells me to tell you in the mid 90's, about '94-'95, no later than that, God will destroy the homosexual community of America. But He will not destroy it - with what many minds have thought Him to be, He will destroy it with fire. And many will turn and be saved, and many will rebel and be destroyed."
[He showed up in many TBN Pray-a-thons and in Fall 2000 he claimed that the Lord had told him, "That time is running out, time is almost up!" Many believe that he continued to cast on beliefs of the end of the world, but of course the guy was a completely failed, like all of his predictions.]
Even the wonderful Mother Shipton, the 16th century mystic, [who I wrote about above.]predicted the end of the world: "...The world to an end shall come; in eighteen hundred and eighty-one." Even with her successful predictions this one was declared false.
A major Jehovah's Witness prediction date. The Watchtower Society selected 1975 as its next main prediction. This was based on the estimate "according to reliable Bible chronology Adam was created in the year 4026 BCE, likely in the autumn of the year, at the end of the sixth day of creation." 8They believed that the year 1975 a promising date for the end of the world, as it was the 6,000th anniversary of Adam's creation. Exactly 1,000 years was to pass for each day of the creation week. This prophecy also failed.
Edgar Whisenaut, a NASA scientist, had published the book "88 Reasons why the Rapture will Occur in 1988." It sold over 4 million copies.
[Whisenaut sure got some big bucks for his big flop of a predictions.]Peter Ruckman concluded from his analysis of the Bible that the rapture would come within a few years of 1990.
[And Now! I present, the BIGGEST failed prediction of all time and it began with the man named, William Miller.]
In 1843founder of the Millerite movement, predicted that on March 21, 1843 the world would end with the second coming of Jesus. A massive number of Christians accepted his prophecy, but nothing happened of course. But good old William didn't give up he announced to his followers that he miscalculated his prophecy and gave them a new date, October 22, 1844. Many Christians sold their property and possessions, quit their jobs and prepared themselves for the second coming. At last the date came and many awaited inside his church, and even though a small meteor shower peered over the night sky, nothing happened; the day came and went without incident. This event which is now called "The Great Disappointment," would forever be known to "end of the world" researchers as well as a comfort to others as a way for them to say, "They predicted it before and never happened!" Miller lived out the rest of his days in misery, his reputation would forever be tarnished due to his false prediction.
___________________________
My thoughts:Great prophets such as Nostradamus and Mother shipton had their brilliant moments, but there are cases where even the greatest prophets failed, and well as not so great prophets, "cough" Benny "cough" Miller "cough". But that's the thing about predictions, they are only true when they happen. Some prophecies can only even be explained after the predicted event. A picture of a burning tower would of meant nothing to us before 9/11, but only afterwards we now understand. Even with predictions such as a crocked cross weren't explainable before we saw the Axis symbol. It is true that anyone can "Make-up" a prediction, but at times we only know that their true when they happen so it's really up to us. You have to choose rather you believe or not. Sometimes you'll be wrong, but their are times where the prophecies are true but it all comes down to whether you believe them.
But now in a matter of 5 years a new prediction will come to present, the dreaded year of 12/21/12 which has been the predicted year to the end of the world is drawing close and now is the time for you to believe it or not. You can look away from it and carry on your life or you can embrace it and prepare. Whether you're right or wrong it's your choice and remember to always accept your decision.
So now, we draw to a close on my second part of this article, on Part 3 look forward to the finale as I deliver the shocking predictions and history that lead to the final date of 12/21/12.
END OF PART 2
Part I: The Final Popes, and the Antichrist
At the age of 14 I sat down in my American History class where my teacher, Ms.Roach showed us a video on prophets such as Nostradamus. I was very interested and then things got scary towards the end where they talked of one prophet, St. Malachy who predicted an entire list of 112 popes up till the end of the world. The much loved Pope John Paul II was the 3rd to last on the list which composed of descriptions of each pope. Here's the list of the last remaining four that includes him.
"De Medietate Lunae" (From the Half of the Moon).
"De Labore Solis" (From the Labor of the Sun).
"De Gloria Olivae" (From the Glory of the Olive).
"The prophecy concludes: "In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there shall reign Peter the Roman who will feed his flock amid many tribulations, after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the terrible judge will judge the people."
________________________________
THE FINAL POPESSo let's break it down. I'll skip Pope John Paul I and go straight to Paul II.
"Rising Sun" out of De Labore Solis, reminding us that John Paul II, like the sun, comes from the East. He is the first pontiff ever to come from Eastern Europe. Astrologer Doris Kay wrings one more drop of meaning from Malachy, interpreting the motto to read, "to enter from the eclipsing Sun." Let us not forgetthat John Paul II was born on 18 May 1920 - the date of a total eclipse.
[I remember finding this out around the time of his death, and I remember also learning of an eclipse of the day of his burial. That really freaked me out.]After John Paul II, Malachy's list is reduced to two.
Gloria Olivae - "glory of the olive." Another prophet-monk from eighteenth century Padua believes this pope will take Leo XVI for his name and that he will be an agent of peace between Israelis and Arabs (the olive is also a symbol of Israel). [Though Malachy tells of the pope's name as Leo XVI, the real pope as we all know is our present pope, Benedict XVI but though the names are inaccurate, but the roman numerals are the same.]
Regarding the final pope, Malachy says:
During the last persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there shall sit Petrus Romanus [Peter of Rome], who shall feed the sheep amid great tribulations, and when these have passed, the City of the Seven Hills shall be utterly destroyed, and the awful Judge will judge the people. [Peter of Rome is a very familiar name that shares the resemblance to the first pope, St. Peter. Many have described Peter of Rome as the final pope as well as a very evil man himself, but then many say that he's the antichrist, the sole enemy of god and the bringer of chaos and destruction to the world. But we'll talk about that later.]
Pope Benedict XVI, is 78 years old, and not in good health. In 1991 he suffered a hemorrhagic stroke. He himself predicted a short reign in comments to cardinals just after his election. He is the oldest pope elected in 275 years, since Clement XII in 1730. It seems likely that he will not serve long. If, as Malachy suggests, Benedict will work for peace, he does not have much time to make his mark. In view of the high level of world attention to the Israel/Palestine dispute, it seems reasonable that he may spend time on this problem. In any event, a person aged80 who is not in good health does not have a long life expectancy. In Benedict, the College of Cardinals has elected a "transitionary" pope. In view of his short life expectancy, Malachy's prophecy would indicate that we will soon see the last pope on the throne of St. Peter. Pope Benedict is the 265th pope over a two-thousand-year timespan, so that the average reign of a pope is about seven and one-half years.Five years from now is 2012. So St. Malachy's suggestion of two more popes until the end of the age suggests that the current age will end in 2012. This is interesting in that it corresponds exactly to the end of the Mayan Calendar (December 21, 2012).

THE ANTICHRIST[So could this be the end? As I said before many believe that the Antichrist will come and be the sole destroyer of the world. Now we have to ask. Who is the antichrist, and what will he do?]
In Christian eschatology, the Antichrist or anti-Christ, has come to mean a person, an other entity, or an image of a person, that is an embodiment of evil.
Antichrist's name gives us indication of what he is. He is Anti-christ As every Jew knows, the name Christ is simply the Greek translation of the Hebrew Messiah, whom the Jews expected to come in God's name to save them. The Messiah, or Christ, is the one anointed by God and qualified to carry out a certain work in God's name. Christ's work is to redeem God's people from sin and death by His own death, and to renew God's creation as a creation of righteousness and peace. The man Jesus of Nazareth (died circa AD 33) is this Christ. He is God's anointed, the servant of Jehovah. He is qualified to do the work of redeeming God's people and renewing creation. The confession of the church down through the ages is, "Jesus is the Christ." Antichrist is a false Christ, according to Matthew 24:24. He claims to be anointed by God with the Holy Spirit and claims to be qualified to do the work in God's name of redeeming God's people and renewing the creation. But he is not. He is a liar. His claims are false. He is a false Christ.
Revelation 13 gives further instruction about Antichrist, teaching that his kingdom will be both a political and an ecclesiastical empire. The vision of Revelation 13 must be read in the light of Revelation 12, where the dragon cast out of heaven, identified as the devil and Satan, pursues the woman (who represents the church of Christ) in the new dispensation.
In chapter 13 we have the appearance of two beasts which are the product of the dragon in chapter 12-- his creation and servants ("...and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority" (Vs. 3). This first beast is a wild animal which arises out of the sea. It looks like a leopard, but its feet are like bear's feet and its mouth like a lion's. Its seven heads and ten horns make us think of the dragon himself in chapter 12:3 where he was pictured with seven heads and ten horns. The heads of the beast are full of blasphemy. And one of the heads has a scar from a wound now healed. After the beast has risen from the sea, the whole world worships this beast, while it spews out blasphemies against God and makes war with the saints and overcomes them.
The gospel of Antichrist is humanism -- the happiness of man, the glory of man, the peace and prosperity, the health and wealth of man. The number of the beast, do not forget, is 6-6-6, the number of man.
But we remind you, the Antichrist deceives. He will not tip his hand by declaring publicly, "I am the Antichrist." He will not claim that there is no God, no Christ, no salvation, and that the message of the Bible is a lie. But he will say, "I am your Messiah; you are God (Shirley MacLaine has comrades and consorts in the Rastifarians of Jamaica, whose word for "divine" is "I-vine"!); and an earthly life of peace and prosperity, of health and happiness -- that is salvation." The distant rumblings of Antichrist's thunder are growing louder.
Performing miracles, Antichrist will establish himself and validate his claim as God's anointed. This is the emphasis of II Thessalonians 2. Men have always performed miracles to establish their authority, presenting them as the credentials of their divine appointment. Moses did in Egypt. Elijah did on Mount Carmel. Jesus Christ and His apostles did. So will Antichrist. Revelation 13:13says that the second beast "doeth great wonders..." and verse 14 that "he deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast." Matthew 24:24 indicates the same thing: "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." This is the teaching of II Thessalonians 2:9, "even him whose coming is after the working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders...." The works of Antichrist will be the works of Satan, who has power beyond the natural ability of man.

MY THOUGHTS:
When it comes to thinking about this I look into the bible. In it they talk of the beast with the name, 666.
"Then I saw a wild beast come out of the sea with ten horns and seven heads. In wonderment the whole world followed after the beast; they also worshiped the beast. The beast will be worshiped by all those inhabitants of earth who did not have their names written in the book of living which belongs to the Lamb who was slain. Then I saw a second beast come up out of the earth; it had two horns like a ram and it spoke like a dragon. It used authority of the first beast to promote his interests by making the world and it's inhabitants worship the first beast." - from Revelaion 13
It occurs to me that Peter of Rome represents the 2nd beast. As a pope he has the power to convince people and promote the first beast which to me will deceive everyone to believe that he's the second coming of Jesus. There is said to be a new Earth after the day of 12/21/2012. The Mayan calander that ends on that day talks of the new world. It's probably believed that our world could be changed for the best, perhaps it won't end, but more like be cleaned. This is the end to the first part of my article but before we end let me share with you a powerful quote found in the book of revelations.
"Remember, I am coming soon! I bring with me the reward that will be given to each man as his conduct deserves. I am th Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End! Happy are they who wash their robes so as to have free access to the tree of life and enter the city through its gates! Outside are the dogs and sorcerers, the fornicators an murderers, the idol-worshipers and all who love falsehood. It is I, Jesus, who have sent my angel to give you this testimony about the churches. I am the Root and Offspring of David, the Morning Star shining bright. Yes, I am coming soon!" - Revelation 22:12 - 22:20
END OF PART I
*Part 2 we'll look at some false prophecies and more prophecies concerning the end of the world.*
Today marks a speacil day, for both me and the Wii. Just one year ago the release of the Wii was drawing close, and I wanted to be right there at it's launch in New York. Thus I started my account of GS to access the Wii Launch Live. And damn I was excited, from seeing Reggie kick ass in Wii Tennis, to him giving away the first Wii was very exciting.
Well here we are one year later and let me tell ya at first I was worried about Wii's success, but damn! Wii over-excelled my predictions. Wii has realesed some top notch games, from the launch title Legend of Zelda, to the revolutionary FPS Metriod Prime 3, and atlast at the greatest Mario game yet, Super Mario Galaxy! Wii has sold as much as 13mil units worldwide, about twice as much as what Xbox360 made in it's first year. VC games have helped as well, with nearly 200 games on it's virtual store Nintendo made retro fans such as myself happy. Now we're getting some awsome wi-fi games such as Madden, Mario Strikers, and Metal of Honor Heroes 2 (Which is freakin awsome!) Even with it's first year success, Nintendo's future remains bright! We have games such as Smash Bros. and Mario Kart just around the corner and who knows what else the Big N will throw at us!
Me and the Wii have had an awsome year, on the market and on Gamespot. The only thing I can find myself to say is, Viva la Revolution! Viva la Nintendo!!
Happy B-day Wii!!
Wow! To my surprise today I did performed my daily task and checked ign for gaming news. And holy-freakin-crap, Super Mario Galaxy review!!! LINKAnd unsurprisingly, it got a good score! Even one better than Halo3! That kicksass in my opinion.
So while celebrating I saw an article with an interview with Seth McFarlane the creater of Family guy. LINKWell it turns out that he's also protesting along with the other writers for crap in which I do not understand a thing! Well then came the bad news. When asked about the future of Family Guy he basically said as of now the last episode will premire this Sunday, and then it'll be over. I don't know weither this is permanite or just until the strike ends but it ticks me off to hell to hear this. For more info read the article urself through the link above. Does anyone have an idea on what's going on, and weither or not FG will return??
