Damn thats pricey! I'll stick to my original idea of just buying a laptop and connecting to the TV wireless, cheaper and faster. Great review and good pics till up till the thing in action.
6GB is needed for tripple channel 2GB dimms[QUOTE="hitman6actual"]

Sorry to hijack the post but I have a question about this because i'm far from an expert when it comes to ram.
You're saying that you need 6 gb of ram if you're using 2gb dimms, does this apply to both amd and intel boards? Would having 4 gb of ram and 2gb dimms cause problems?
Sorry for the novice question.
AMD cpu's don't require triple channel ram setups like intel does, so ur good with 4gb on and AMD x4 9XX. you can run that setup but timings should be the same or the 4gb/2gb will be limitied, meaning ur just wasting money.[QUOTE="scoots9"]Yeah, contrary to popular belief, just because the X6's technically have six cores doesn't mean they're better than a great quad core CPU. I don't know why they put a 980X on par with an i7 975 and 965. The 980X is on an entirely different level from any other CPU on the market, including the other i7's. All the other i7's are essentially the same except for their core clock speed which stops mattering once you overclock them (as they all pretty much have to stop OCing around the 4-4.2GHz mark when on air). Also, I was under the impression that the X6 1090T was only slightly worse than an i7 920. I didn't expect to see an i5 750 and several core 2 quads ahead of it. i remember seeing a vantage score of all the cpu's released and 1090T was a tad higher the the i7 930. but i think this is just random tbh.Are all of those Intels really better than the Phenom II x6 1090T BE? Wow, I didn't realize that.

So have I, and they look awful and they stream load as they go.[QUOTE="04dcarraher"]

no it won't. The new york setting wasn't actually a platform limitation. I've seen demos of big forests rendered on cryengine ps3.

That's why the limitation on consoles is only a visual limitation due to memory, nothing to do with the level design- you can build forests but it won't look good, you can build cities but they won't look as good as the PC.
lol ok, im show u the light here buddy. im take it u are a umm ps3 fan right?ok well like every console, its limited to its year created. ps3 has a 7800gt with some 256mb of gpu ram and 256ram for everything else. ok from that 256mb of ram it need to create a WHOLE level like from crysis 1. Now with that 256mb it also needs to render the graphics. Thats alot to do with only 256mb. solution? The bubble effect. What this is is basically its a little portion loaded up of a whole level and it works to where it looks perfect like in killzone 2 and uncharted 2. but in games like god of war 3, u can clearly see it in action. the chests in gow3 are opened once, later u come back and boom, there they are again unopened like u never been there. thats the limit of the memory. Now crysis will use this cuase i mean face it, crysis 1 ffs took a highend rig just to play it decently, and ps3 is no highend computer. so buble effects will be used, and u cant just implant bubbles effects in the console version and make the pc like big, noo they have to put bubble effects in the pc version as well. Gfx arent the only thing affected by low memory, i mean heck why would devs complain about to little memory? cuase it does so much!
Maybe my resolution is lower then what you are used to. My monitor only plays at 1600X900SPARTAN_D7u can still max it out wiht 1600 by 1050 so its just a really good card is all :D
I have Crysis and the online version thing of it and I will probly start playing that since it will run really wellTyman360yea my gtx 260 runs crysis VERY easily even with the CCC mod. trust me when u get that card, ur going to be playing heavy games like metro 2033, dirt 2, etc. totally worth 120, i spent 150$ for mine 1 year ago
I wonder how warranties now play out. I have a bfg gts 250 that I registered 9 months ago. Wonder what happens to there claims of "lifetime" warranties.jedikevin2if u read the article it states that ur fine. i never liked BGF, thier psu died out on me and destroyed my hdd.. and their customer service was pretty bad too. so i say the hell with them.
