Starwars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) is a game set 300 years after KOTOR 2. I've been a huge fan of the KOTOR Series ever since the first game came out in 2003 and i'm still a big fan of it to this day, but I have very mixed feelings on an MMO. If you were into Warcraft back in the day, then you will remember when Billzard came out with World of Warcraft, the MMO of Warcraft. They totally stopped making Warcraft and just made WoW, the new Warcraft.
How exactly are they gonna pull this off? There are lots of rumors about the gameplay and lots of people are already disappointed with the quality of the Lightsaber duels and the way the players use the force just from pictures and a very few, short, clips. I myself am wondering how they plan on pulling this off! Bioware said that they plan to make the weapons bigger because players feel stronger if the weapons are bigger, well this make an unrealistic game. I'm all about video games being a way to distance ones self from reality, but a game that is totally unrealistic makes me wanna barf. The lightsabers in the movies are 1-hit kills depending on where you hit them, but are they gonna be 20-hit kills in this game? If so, then why even create it?
As you can see, this game is causing some real drama in fans lives. I don't understand how they're gonna pull it off, but however they do i'm quite interested in it!
