Bloodlines, or as it was called in Europe 'The New Generation' was the first Castlevania i properly played. Up until then I'd been a straight up Sega fan, this is the game that got me into Nintendo.

Symphony is awesome, but I have to vote for Bloodlines on the fact its not only an awesome game, but also the one that started it all for me.

Quite interesting that the only 2 CV games to see releases on Sega Consoles were pitted against each other.

I too don't have a wii.

I would have bought a wii, but unfortunately this game reeks of rip off. Death Note + Power Stone = This mess. I can only tell its Castlevania cos the CV brand has been slapped all over it.

Early 09.

I don't see why we can't all just get it at the same time.

Like us europeans have to wait til 09 for OoE. (Least we can import i suppose). Whats the point?

For example if its a game series i really like, if the euro date is too long for me to wait, ill just import it.If its a game i just wanna play, but not too bothered about, i see it as well i've waited this long, ill just wait a little while longer then buy it preowned. But by that time i've usually lost interest in it. So the whole 'anticipation' strategy some developers try to employ doesn't work. Well not on me anyway.

I find it quite amusing the amount of people who berate DoS and PoR for their anime style, yet hail Rondo as a classic. Kinda ironic don't ya think.

That being said i'm going with Rondo. Old skool gaming at its best if you ask me.

PS/ I used to live at 13 Wyvern Road. Awesome no?

How to make the live action Castlevania not suck:

Make it Castlevania, not a Dracula rip off.

Either use a lot of stan winston style monster effects, puppetry etc or go the whole mile and do a motion capture film (much like Beowulf).

Get rid of everyone involved in production at the moment. Really, anyone who condones what Anderson is doing to our beloved franchise doesn't deserve to hold a candle to it.

Castlevania 3, with its 3 extra playable characters. There be 3 gba cv's, 3 ds cv's...

Its a conspiracy o.o

Ok maybe im reading into that a bit too much, but i chose 3.

I have a sneaking suspicion its going to be a port of the new upcoming Castlevania arcade game:

article of the arcade game by kotaku.com

'The graphics were really nice, definitely next gen; on par with PS3/Xbox 360'

Also the in game screens

look similar to the picture posted on this topic.

Don't just dismiss the possibility due to 360 and ps3 controls, as im sure they could release a whip accessory.

What does everyone else think?
