@howie1926 I know just as many people who pirate on the 360 as I do who pirate on the PC. The only difference is that the PC gamers usually actually buy the game in the future, even if it's just because the game is on sale on Steam. Piracy is a lame excuse for bad games getting bad sales.

@EKGProd We aren't demanding perfection. I really, really wish all you console gamers could have an opportunity to play the first game, because then you would know just what Crytek did with Crysis 2 that was so horrible. All we wanted was a sequel that actually bared some resemblance to the first game, and a sequel that IMPROVED on the gameplay of Crysis, rather than hindering it. There was literally no plot continuity from the first game to Crysis 2, other than Prophet (whose personality completely changed somehow). I enjoyed Crysis because it had great gameplay and an involving story, and Crytek took both of those amazing things and made them very mediocre. Console gamers might not understand that because they haven't gotten to play the greatness that is the first Crysis, but Crysis 2 was just a huge missed opportunity, and that makes us sad.

Crytek doesn't understand what the real problem was with Crysis 2. It's not necessarily that the graphics got watered down for consoles, it's that the GAMEPLAY got watered down for console users. Level design took a backseat, forcing them to put in the utterly perplexing "Press F to look here" prompts whenever they think you should look at some stupid crumbling building, instead of figuring out some way to actually attract your attention. They go on and on about how they streamlined the suit, but all they did was take out two of it's functions and turn every battle into a choice between run and gun or stealth. In the first game, you used the suit to complement your own tactical choices, not to determine them for you. That was the beauty of the original Crysis - every fight could turn out in a huge number of different and unexpected ways, forcing you to always keep on your toes and use your suit to the best of your abilities in order to stay alive. In Crysis 2, every fight felt the same. Spot enemies through walls (a very dumb design decision IMO for them to allow you to do that), then either run in with armor on or sneak in with cloak on and kill everything. The whole game just felt like a cheap ripoff of the first Crysis, and from these interviews, I can tell Crytek doesn't realize that they're ruining the franchise. I probably won't even play Crysis 3 if it does come out, which is saying a lot, since the first Crysis is one of my favorite games of all time.

I'm surprised they didn't mention War Rock, too. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw this... I used to play that alllllll the time. It's definitely worth a look for anyone who likes playing multiplayer FPS's, and especially fans of Battlefield. It's got the same team-based control point gameplay in large maps that Battlefield made so popular, but it also has tiny maps made more for deathmatch/team deathmatch type games.
