Every few days, I like to spend a bit of my time on the internet perusing reviews of game released many years ago. Then, if the game seems beloved by at least one person, and it lloks appealling to me. I will make an attempt to track it down on Ebay or Half.com and purchase it. When you are only spending about $5 a game, even it the game is crap (which it often is). I feel it was worth my money just for the feeling of trying a new game where I have no idea what to expect.
 The fact is, I spend so much time reading reviews of a new game before I buy it so that I already know quite a bit about the game before I even start playing. Oftentimes my impluse buying of old games leads to stuff like Last Action Hero or SkullJagger (which are always good for a laugh) but sometimes I find a game that has been completely passed over by many people and is really a great experience to find and play. This is how I found Super Smash T.V.. Have you ever heard of the game Fire Shark for Genesis? Probably not, but I bought it for around $5 and it is awesome. Video games are are best when they are full of surprises.
