its 12 am sunday morning, i look up my repair to find i have a new serial numer, when can i expect my xbox to be returned? ( it took 7 days to get to the center in texas) i might get it before halo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!beavisxxx420
Hey Beavis... been going through the same thing you have. But no fear I have an answer for you.
Like you, I have been waiting since the 5th of Sept. for any sign of my new xbox360. (one that works, will be called new)
On this sunday, the 16th, my serial number changed. So out of habit, I called the 800-4my-xbox number. (If you call from the phone number that you registered your console with, it'll tell you a recorded message, if yourbox has been shipped back to you.)
Now, once you get that information, say "operator" and the recorded voice will send you to a "real" person. give themyour reference number, and ask them, for the ups tracking number for your box. They will give it to you.
Mine is due back here on thursday the 20th.
Anyway, I'm kind of a pro on this now, this is the second one I've had to return. The first for the box not readinggame discs. That one was returned, in august, and replaced with my "just returned one" that played for about 3 hoursand then the video went out. So here I am, without my box for 2 months. And Halo 3 on pre-order. *LOL* I still haveBioshock waiting in the plastic right here next to the tv. *L*
Getting to the point, call the number, get the recording, get an operator and shipping number from them. Then you'll know.Heres hoping you get your box back on thursday as well.
