So i bought a new asus vw266h 26 inch lcd monitor a couple days ago, and i just noticed a pixel on the right side of the screen is permanently colored dark red. it is most obvious against light/white backgrounds, but i can sometimes see it against darker backgrounds as well. is it stuck, or dead? and how do i get rid of it?

so i have an LG W2600h 26inch lcd monitor, got it about 2.5 years ago. just a few days ago when i booted up my computer a red or sometimes green line would appear on the left side of the screen, running top to bottom, about 1 or 2 pixels wide. it would go away after a few minutes. but now about the left 1/5th of the screen has a blue tint, running top to bottom, about 3-4 inches wide. it wont go away, it isnt noticable usually, but when there is a dark background it shows up. it used to be a bit worse, but it is still bad.

it is not a problem with any other computer parts because i have tried hooking the comp up to different monitors, and the problem is not there. you can still see the line even when the screen isnt connected to anything cept power. it is very annoying and I hope there is a way to fix it. I have messed with settings and it wont go away. HELP! thanks

i really really dont want to do that.... that would take days of reinstalling everything.... theres gotta be an easier way to get those drivers. also the WAN miniport, IPv6, and network monitor drivers are absent...

i cleared it alright. all settings in BIOS are now at default. it boots fine now that i told it to go back to "last good settings". but the problem now is that my internet connection will not work lol... is there a reason for that?

i cannot boot into safe mode, and my memory was stable before the attempted overclock of the cpu, the only thing i changed before the problem started was the BLCK and cpu voltage. I upped the vcore from like 1.255 to 1.265... didnt think that was a very big increase. but i can do nothing except watch it flash a bsod and restart now

CORRECTION: i CAN boot into safe mode now, just tried again hitting f8. so i guess its not fried.. but idk why it wouldnt boot

I recently tried to overclock my i7 920 to 3.8ghz, it was stable at 3.4, so i upped the clock and the voltage very slightly. restarted and now windows 7 will not boot, it begins to and then a blue screen flashes quickly, then the comp restarts. I tried everything, resetting the BIOS to defaults, removing the battery, clearing CMOS, nothing seems to work, it always flashes a BSOD and then crashed. i cannot get it to boot... do i need a new CPU?
