I keep my 360 pretty cool without a fan, but I did put a fan next to it and it did seem to help for a little bit longer, but I want to able to play Call of Duty 3 like everyone else does without putting a fan next to it.

I've heard that the 360 uses only 1 of its cores on gears of war and uses all 3 on call of duty 3. I think my system just can't handle the heat even though I keep it well ventilated and cool.

I've already tried that, but I didn't rent one. Instead I borrowed my friend's game and I still have the same problem.

Well the 360 should be able to last over 2 hours. My friend can play Call of Duty 3 all night.

To whoever this may concern. My Xbox keeps freezing when I play Call of Duty 3 but not on other games such as Gears of War. I can play Call of Duty 3 for around 40 minutes to 2 hours then it overheats and freezes. Then when I play Gears of War I can play all night and it only stays warm and never freezes. I keep my 360 in a well ventilated and cool area and I have owned it for less than a year. I was just wondering if I should waste my time calling their support, which in that case they might not even fix it because Gears of War still works or they might give me back a 360 with even more problems then before. Does anyone have a suggestion of what I should do?
