Yes, it beats GeoW.
In my eyes, the ps3 has redeemed itself, and has proven it's capabilities with Uncharted. I can easily say that I go where the good games are, and up until now, I haven't been going to the ps3, even though I own one. At one point, i was looking forward to Uncharted, but due to all of the flops and disappointments, it fell off of my radar. But, after downloading and playing the demo yesterday... (I'm a bit late on this... but cut me a break, I've been moving out of my parent's house lol) I saw some of the best visuals I've seen to date on a console. I'm a big gears fan, so try to take my word for it if you havent played uncharted yourself on a nice tv.
Plus, the game is pretty fun, and I like the gameplay. It's nothing new, but it doesn't to be new, it just has to be done right, and it has been. I'd say it definitely deserves atleast a 8.5... We all know gamespot has been off on it's reviews for a while now... (ME? R&C? Even though i don't like r&c) but the review doesn't even matter to me. The only bad part is that the game is probably only a rental for most people. There's no multiplayer, or anything to make you want to pick it up after you beat it. But that's okay, because if anything, this may be a sign: Welcome back to the race, Sony. You've screwed up again and again, but it's nice to see you back.
Now, lets see some competition! Because we all benefit from that!
PS (Uncharted owners): Does the full game look any better at all than the demo? I'm just curious. I'm probably going to rent it today.

I say the PS3 aint redeemed itself until it gets an exclusive AAA
And as for Uncharted having the best graphics so far - Yes it does - but surely it was to be expected - GEoW is a year old now
