Well March is finally here, I am attempting to get everything in order for the big day, trying too, Need too! But alas; its damn hard with so many games to play! I move in only about 10 days into my fancy new apartment! And here I am playing the oh so many great games to launce in just the first two months of 2010! Im screwed.

Aliens VS Predator launced this past month to pretty harsh reviews; I was quite excited for the game so I had the Hunters Edition pre ordered quite early. I wasnt expecting high praise for the game, but was still alittle taken aback to see GI and other sites giving it 5's and 6's before launce. Couple that with the shipping issues and I was getting alittle worried about my adventures with the ol Aliens and Predators. But pushing on the game can be quite fun. Its not a revolutionary title by any means, but it is a unique and fun game both in the campaign and multiplayer. It provides a solid FPS with three unique storylines if you traverse the single player portion. The graphics arent great but they are not bad by any means, and the sound design is done quite well. But the meat of the game is in the multiplayer; if you take the time to learn the controls and methods of play for each species you can no doubt dominate as any in the various multiplayer modes. It can be fun; especially with the right group of people. Not the harsh 5 or lower some claim, I would rank it a 7-8 depending on your enjoyment of the franchises and if you play multiplayer.

Now onto the next big game of February, Heavy Rain. I enjoyed Indigo Prophecy, it was unlike any game I had played at the time. So naturally I was quite excited for Heavy Rain, the possibilities of losing the main cast, the various routes the story can go, the great graphics, and hopefully a great story! The game was good. But it wasnt amazing! I enjoyed my time going through the story for the first time, taking about I believe 7-10 hours; but I wasnt blown away like some of the journalists in the industry were; giving it 9's and 10's. The presentation was very well done, the graphics are great, and story is decent too. But the action wasnt as hard hitting as I was hoping for, and the difficulty was very easy for me, never once coming close to feeling like I may lose a fight and thus a main character. The story is decent enough but like some have said it does have some plot holes or mean attempts at misdirection that dont quite make sense in the end. The game does have some replay value however in that depending on your actions or failure futar scenes can play out quite differently and bring about multiple endings. I will play through again on a harder difficulty, but I believe I may have been hoping for alittle more. Its a solid 8 however.

And finally, the game I had been excited about most of all. Battlefield Bad Company 2' or rather, Battlefield 2.5. A new Battlefield game that feels like a genuin sequal or evolution of the previous king of the series Battlefield 2. Brings back the returning class's such as Medic and Engineer, great destructability of the surrounding envrionment, great maps, vehicles and a nice experiance system for unlocking new equipment and tools. It even has a good campaign mode. It has it all. Multiplayer is the king of the hill right now, taking down Halo and Call of Duty in my opinion. Great balancing, great modes and strategy; every class is useful and unique. The game is just great and will provide any hours upon hours of solid playing. A 9 for sure since no game is ever perfect.

2010 is starting off hella good, and the rest of the year is sure to follow, even for the Wii! Which has some great looking games coming along from both Nintendo and third parties! Have GOW 3 collectors edition pre ordered which is sure to blow everyone away. Monster Hunter Tri for the wii as well. Im excited for my move and making the place look nice, and am excited to be living with my girl. This year is starting off pretty damn well.

It's been more then a month since my previous update (not like anyone reads this anyway, but w/e) and life is still going pretty well. My personal life is picking up steam slightly as my girlfriend and I are in the midst of preparing and planning for a massive, huge, mega event taking place soon!! Its on the horizon! Can you sense it?! A big move is coming in the middle of March! We are getting an apartment together! We are both currently attempting to plan ahead the layouts of the rooms and how we both wish for the place to look. We are getting a two bedroom third floor apartment. A nice view of the Springs, a fireplace, patio, nice size and even a washer and dryer in unit! Should be nice. We are searching for nice furniture to complement the new abode and hopefully all goes well with the moving in of the new home. I hope all works out nicely. Working overnights, planning during the day; but I am still attempting to get some game time in through all this crazyness. I try anyway.

I thought Christmas only came once a year! Why must great games come out every month?! Cant we get a break to actually enjoy the games we have before new ones come out?! Apparently not. I am still attempting to beat Borderlands, Assassins Creed 2, Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age AND Uncharted 2. (there are actually others but less important) Mass Effect 2 has been taking majority of my time however (along with Madden which I play all year) Its a good game. Very good game, but however I still believe some features of the first would have been welcome as well. But that doesnt change the greatness that is Bioware and everything that they touch. The demo's for Bad Company 2 and AVP are out and they are both very fun games to play. Both have been pre ordered for some time and glad they will be as good as I hoped (regardless of what some say about the AVP demo, I enjoy it) I am glad BC2 will dethrone Modern Warfare 2 as THE fps to play. Heavy Rain will also no doubt be great, enjoyed the demo of that as well. After the rush of these great titles, I still have God of War 3 Ultimate Edition pre ordered!

A quick update picked up a wii again, owned one at launch but got rid of it due to no actuall games for a long time. But with decent titles such as New Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros and even small titles that unfortanately didnt sell well such as House of the Dead Overkill and Dead Space its a decent 2nd console (or third in my case) Fun times now that I have every console this generation

The holidays were actually fairly decent this season, worked hard and spent alittle bit of time with the family. Got some great gifts from my g/f including Dharma Collectors Edition of Lost Season Five, a Microsoft Zune HD and some other nice things that she didnt need to get me but did. Makes me feel bad when people spend alot of money on me; but shes too nice. It is now the year 2010 and a nice way of celebrating? Finally taking the plunge and grabbing one of them fancy PS3 thingies I hear people talking about! Picked up a 150 GB PS3 Slim from Target (after going to 4 wal marts and a best buy that didnt have crap) The Target didnt have much games left on shelves and the ones they did have I didnt want anyways, but did pick up the Sony HDMI cables for it. So went to a Gamestop and picked up Uncharted Drakes Fortune and Resistance 2. Brought it home set it all up and after fiddling with the PS3 menu system (still hate the XMB navigation, hate it on PSP hate it still on its bigger brother) started up Uncharted. After playing for a bit its quite a fun game and enjoying the presentation of the story, and the lead character is quite likable. Still have alot to fiddle with on the new console but looking forward to try Uncharted 2 and God of War 3.

Chistmas season...terrible for my wallet! Black Friday deals were nice; online. Not going out any place on that crazy day! I am now awaiting Forza 3, Resident Evil 5, Chronicles of Riddick, Fallout 3 and Age of Conan Collectors Edition...all for pretty cheap; Nice! Assassins Creed 2 is an awesome sequal and still enjoying Modern Warfare 2 online and off. My 360 is enjoying a nice variety of content. Recently picked up Lego Rock Band at Wal Mart, been wanting to put Rock Band back into the drive but no song packs recently catching my eye; and the selection of tunes on Lego is a pleasent easy listening experiance. The cute fun aesthetic isnt to bad either. Decent title and track pack for RB2.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is as great as I expected it to be, the graphics, sound, just the overall package presentation wise is great. The gameplay follows suit as well with very little tweaks from the first, but it didnt need many; single player is good and multiplayer is some of the best ive experianced. The single player story however, just seems to crazy and outlandish and isnt explained very well, however the experiances and presentation of it all is spectacular. But no doubt, Modern Warfare excells where its predecessor succeeded, multiplayer. No title beats it. Now onto another fantastic experiance, Dragon Age. Bioware delivers another great title with a story that is deep and presented well enough, good voice acting and nice quests that present morale choices that make you stop and ponder the outcomes. A nice selection of options in combat and character growth round out a very long and very satisfieing experiance. Both titles are Game of the Year contenders in my book; one presents an amazing single player experiance while the other is the king of the other side of the coin; multiplayer.

Currently on my mind: To much in the gaming world going on, Holiday season is terrible for peoples wallets, every major release is thrown out into the world in a three month span. Huge hits such as Modern Warfare 2, Assassins Creed 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Uncharted 2, Dragon Age, Borderlands, Forza 3, Brutal Legend and many more are in stores or hitting store shelves soon. To many games not enough time or money. I have picked up a few of them luckily, trading unnecesary dvd's for cash helps alittle. Dragon Age is yet another solid release from Bioware, but what do you expect from the creatores of Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect. Although the graphics on 360 are very dissapointing. Modern Warfare will no doubt be a online gamers dream and Borderlands is a surprise release from 2K, not an amazing game but a solid title none the less. Brutal Legend is a fun little adventure title and Assassins Creed 2 will surely blow people away. Need more free time! Happy gaming!
