Gamespot is just ridiculous anymore!

I'm done with this site. I got a warning, and my thread was locked in the "Genaral Game Discussion" forum for spam! I wasn't spamming anyone. I could understand if I was doing something that didn't have to do with video games at all, and I was creating multiple threads with un-certain links in them, but this is just dumb. All I was doing was giving fellow gamers a link to a website of a movie so they could get free dog tags in BF3. I'd want any gamers to do that for me as well. It's called helping out, and looking out.

If you ask me the moderators aren't doing their job very well, because if I was doing anything wrong they would've jumped on it a lot quicker then they did. It had almost been a week that the thread was up. The moderators abuse their athority anyway. Geez y'all act like this is a government based website when all it is is a video game review site. No one pays attention to your reviews anyway. Everyone knows that y'all are trying to compete with IGN, but yet you never will, they'll always be on top and get more attention then Gamespot. It's sad knowing that it makes y'all feel good thinking you have control over people.

You know I took a long break from this site recently because it was starting to get annoying, but I decided to come back and start using it again. Years ago I got my old account deleted because I didn't want to be a part of this site anymore, but I decided to create another account and start using this site again, but now I'm finished with Gamespot. This is just ridiculous. Who cares if points are dedcuted, it's just a stupid rank system that y'all ripped off from other sites.

Screw y'all.

I won a 3DS from IGN! O.O

Even though I love Gamespot I have to give a HUGE shoutout to IGN. Now I'm sure most the gamers out there have been to IGN, and those same gamers know that IGN hold contests here and there just like a lot of other gaming websites. Well Recently IGN just held a Nintendo 3DS Giveaway Contest (here you can read all about it if you didn't know) in short, last week IGN held a conest for 3 days Wednesday, Thurday, and Friday. Now on each day you had to answer the question they asked. Wednesday the question and answer was submitted for their site itself(mainly on the blog). Thursday the question and answer was submitted for the Twitter community. And Friday the question and answer was submitted for the Facebook community. Well I waited for Friday for them to post it on Facebbok and the question was " What is the North American MSRP for the Nintendo 3DS?" and they asked to email the answer to them...so I did. I got an email on Monday from an employee from IGN replying to my answer email saying "Congrats you have won a Nintendo 3DS from IGN, confirm your shipping address and we will send you the UPS tracking number once it has shipped!"

Well I'm a proud owner of a Nintendo 3DS now thanks to IGN. I just received my free 3DS today, and I'm still shaking about this whole situation lol. I couldn't believe it. Once they sent me the UPS tracking number, it showed it in San Fransisco and the next day it's in my hands. So I have to give thanks to IGN. They're awesome. If you're not here on Gamespot, be on IGN. :D

Read to just know who I am, you'll be glad you did.

How is everyone doing, alright? Alright well since alot of people don't go into someones "About Me" section I'm here to explain who I am, and what I enjoy soooo here we go.

Well first my name is Cody, I'm 21 years old, and I'm just a real nice guy, with a really cool personality, I'm also an Irish American and dang proud of it and what's even more awesome is my b-day is on St. Patrick's Day. I have litterally been playing video games my whole life...well since I was about 3, yes 3. My mom told me stories of me being fascinated with playing Pong on my sisters Atari 2600, and it just took off from there. Now people have always looked at me when I tell them I play video games like  mainly because I'm a country/southern guy, I've got the backwoods background, rough look, and because I'm so huge into sports and sports is my main thing, yes even above video games, and I guess I don't look like the video game type, but whose to put someone in these social groups. But you'd be suprised what I know. I love technology and I love to stay up to date on everything technology related.I loved all of the computer courses I took because I loved learning more and more about 'em. I took a computer systems course in a Vocational Technical school for two years aswell and I've learned quite a bit over the years, whether it's software, hardware, or networking. So I love working on computers or just any technology related devices.

My main job is in the construction field. I'm a painting contractor myself, but I'll do carpentry, electrical, roofing, anything really. Now like I said I'm a huge sports fan, I played baseball through out my life. My favorite teams are the Washington Redskins(season tickets), the Atlanta Braves, the Boston Celtics, the Virginia Cavaliers(Season tickets with there football, basketball, and baseball), and Miami Hurricanes football. I also love NASCAR and my favorite driver is Jeff Gordon (don't want to hear any crap) I try to go to as many races as I can. And when I get a break my TV is most always on ESPN, ESPN 2, NFL Network, MLB Network, NBA Network, what other sports channel you can think of and sports websites as well. And I'm a hardcore Poker player aswell(Texas Hold 'em mainly) I do plan to head to Vegas and register for the WSOP alot sooner then later. Also when spring and summer hits that's when my scheldule is the most packed, I've helped coach a local baseball team here in my town that my younger cousin plays for. And I'm all over the place with the local teams here in my town. I'm just very hardcore into sports...religion, family, and friends comes first but other then that sports is my life. If someone gave me the choice, "get rid of video games for the rest of your life, or get rid of a year of sports" I'd get rid of the video games in a heart beat, sorry fellow gamers but that's me being 100% serious. I'll always love video games though.

Anyway I'm coming to the end of this so let me say that I play just about anything when it comes to video games. My favorite games are the Devil May Cry series, Kingdom Hearts series, and Assassin's Creed series. My favorite genre of games are RPGs, Action-Adventure, Hack and Slash, Shooters, and Sports, but like I said I'll give any game a whirl. If you want to add me on XBL then go ahead my GT: Darkspeed17 just let me know who you are and that you seen me from gamespot. I only get on my 360(nothing against Sony) of course I get on my PSP and DS alot aswell, and I use to be a hardcore PC gamer playing games like Counter-Strike Source, Guild Wars and Battlefield.

Happy New Decade

I'm going to keep this short, and because I forgot to post anything about the start of new decade, well here I am to do so. Actually this could be a little long...maybe.

Anyway this past decade was really amazing when it comes to electronics and video games. You think about it, we witnessed the debut of Microsoft's first ever console the Xbox. We seen Sony develop there first handheld gaming device, the PSP. We watched Sony take the PS2 to a whole new level with the release of there PS3. We got to get a look at Nintendo revolutionize gaming not just with there new console the Nintendo Wii with motion enhanced controls but also with the debut of there Nintendo DS(Handheld touch screen device). We got to witness Microsoft come along with there newly upgraded and much more powerful Xbox 360.

Aswell we have also seen the major upgrades each company has made with every one of there new greats of this past decade. We seen the PSP go through its changes with the PSP 1000, to the PSP 2000, to now the PSP 3000 and also the PSP Go. Same with the Nintendo DS, went from that to the Nintendo DS lite, the DS XL, now the DSi. We've seen the changes of the 1st generation of the PS3 to the new more powerful PS3 Slim. We've seen Microsoft take there great and change it's look to a slim and sleak more powerful console aswell. And I cannot forget about Sony bringing on there PlayStation Move and Microsoft bringing on there Kinect (Both motion controlled devices)

Also whats so great about this past decade was we sat back and watched the online gaming experience expand to all consoles to what we have now with PlayStation Network and Xbox Live, so now online gaming just wasn't a PC thing anymore. We watched what are now some of our favorite video games and video game characters be born and brought to life..well virtually speaking. Now this is not about who is better between company's, this about appreciating what us as gamers have to appreciate. We watched video games and electronics completely take over this past 10 years.

You know when I was younger I really never thought I'd see Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo (even though people don't think so) would work together to get everyone involved into video games. And you may wonder "well how are they working together?" well I'll tell you. See people say well Sony is trying to knock down the Kinect and Wii and same with Nintendo and Microsoft doing the same but no matter what, there products are bringing the family to the t.v. and game. And that is whats most important. And it is quite amazing.

Now don't even get me started on cell phones haha. I'm not a huge cell phone guy but I went to a small, little screened, barely able to text much less anything else kind of phone(which I was still damn proud of), to a paper thin flip phone that's keyboard looked like something from Tron. To now a touch screen, full of apps? HTC Hero. I mean wow. And lets also not forget that we seen two OS (Operating Systems) from Microsoft, Vista, and Windows 7 (which was my idea :D). Let us also not forget what alot of of us used to play video games, and just watch t.v. or movies on. And what do we have now to do all that stuff, HD (High Definition) flat screen, LCD, or Plasma (which is almost obsolete), and LED powered screens. And are as thin as ever. Which you can hang on walls and swing back and forth. And they come in all sizes from 20 inches all the way up to 65 inches, even heard where people have ones bigger then that. And some are even able for you to experience 3D whether its movies or just regular cable, in 3D! And here I always thought big screen TVs from back in the day were the big thing.

Now some may look at this and say "well 10 years is a long time, long enough to expect all this." No...not true, 10 years goes by faster then you think, I mean look were already starting a new decade. But we really should look back and say "you know we did see alot come to life this past 10 years and I was a part in all of it because I witnessed it, and alot of it I'm still experiencing." And guess what it's only going to get bigger and better as we keep going through life. I mean look were just starting a new decade and Nintendo is at again with updating there Nintendo DS yet again with a 3D gaming experience called the Nintendo 3DS, and Sony aswell with 3D and the PS3, and you know Microsoft isn't just going to sit back watch all of this go down so I'm sure they'll be adopting the enhanced 3D gaming aswell.

So let us never forget the past 10 years that we all went through. And as electronic, technology, video games type of people let us always appreciate what went down this past decade. And have a great life.

#1 at everything -_- (Mainly VG's)

You know it really gets on my nerves when someone is trying to be better than you at video games, NOW DON'T GET ME WRONG I love competition...I played sports(mainly baseball) my whole life and I love sports. But why try and beat me at being number one at Call of Duty...what is it proving? That you don't have a job, you don't have many friends, you don't have a girlfriend, or that you just plain do not have a life. Now if were playing Madden/NCAAF/NCAAB/2k's then I promise that I'll welcome the challenge, I mean bring it on. And I can understand if you want to beat me split screen fps games or online fps games, I welcome that aswell. What I don't understand is why are you trying to reach the highest rank before me? Why are you trying to get every weapon before me?Why find out everything about the game before me?

I think there are certain people out there who have a serious problem with self confidence that they take being the best at a video game like that people are going to look at them like Greek Gods. You know I wouldn't be saying this if I haven't experienced myself for quite a few years now. And these kind of people are ruining certain games for me because I just can't have fun with 'em anymore. I get on Call of Duty and certain people(who will remain anonymous) get on and we get together to do some gaming that night but nooo its not about having fun, its about explaining to me that they got this and that and I don't. And if I've done something that they haven't then holy crap it's getting crazy, and I'll have to explain on how I did and why they haven't yet. Which is very annoying.

Now I'm not going to leave the game because I payed my money just like they did and I'm getting my fun out of it. I've already left them in a game before and get into another lobby and what do you know they follow me and I don't have the heart to tell 'em that I don't want to game with them, and I'd rather be by myself, and I'm not shutting down my Xbox 360 because of them either. I just wish these people would realise that just because I don't have the kind of time on my hands to sit around and play video games all day like they do does not mean that they're "all that" I mean c'mon man. I do what I love everyday and that's getting hard earned money for hard work, and getting out here and trying to make something of myself.

I think I'm a pretty good gamer, it's not my life by any means, but I'm a decent gamer, I've been playing video games my whole life, and I like playing video games. The first game I ever played was Pong and I was addicted but that's a different story. More and likely there are games coming out in the future that I've got in the past every year that I seriously doubt I'll get now just because I'm tired of dealing with all this shh..crap. These kind of people seriously ruin ALL the fun in a game. You know you're not going to impress me one bit by sitting around on your butt all day getting better and better at a video game. What you need to do is stop trying so hard to compete at a video game..because it is all for nothing, and get out here and compete with life. It'll be so much more satisfying. And you know who the person is that I compete with the most? It's myself, everyday I try and do it better then the day I did before, and that's what these kind of people need to do. Now I'm not saying they need to be like me and do it exactly the way I'm doing it but geez c'mon there is a time to grow up and to start doing SOMETHING with your life.

That's really all I've got to say about that. If you agree with me that's fine and if you don't then that's fine too. I'm just trying to see if I can knock a little bit of sense into some people.

Have a nice day :D
