It wasn't long ago that encountered a serious hardware issue that will effect my playing status for quite some time. Battlefield 2 tends to CTD before I enter a game, HL2 tends to turn up with some funky colors and 3D effects. I assume the problem lies with my video card.

All though I was really looking to saving myself for a DX10 card, I might have to can those plans for a current generation video card. Besides chances are Vista and DX10 may get delayed several times anyhow, perhaps even as far as 2008.
