I find above the Tv to be most accurate, and accuracy depends on the game. If developers are lazy, it won't be terribly accurate. Devs that make the effort to make a solid try, usually their games have accurate motion controls/IR.
Edit: I should point out, if the controls for the PC version don't work, or my PC isn't up to snuff, this is the game that will make me consider a PS3 purchase.
I'm not really an Elder Scrolls fan, so as an outsider I'd like to add...I got Morrowind free with a video card I bought a while back and never got into it, after trying a couple times. After 6 months of having my friend's (ex friend..) copy of oblivion, I finally found some interest, and played it for about 25 hours. got all the way thru thieves guild stuff, and got to lvl 80 marksman...
