I went into EB today to pick up Madden 07 on PSP, and I saw a load of boxes of Wiis on the shelves. I asked the store clerk about them and he said "The chistmas buzz for Wiis has really gone down, its getting hard to sell them. Of course, there is always the sheep that buy a few, but the general public appears to not care"

Also, apparently the best selling game at my local EB was Resistance FOM, and they are starting to do preorders for MGS4 ("Best to be prepared for the massive buzz for this game" he said), and they have 3 pages of preorders already. Also, Wii's new AAA 'game' has not been selling well. "I guess people want propper games, I hope not all Wii games are minigames fit for partys" was what the store clerk told me.

So all this you hear from sheep about how PS3 is not selling and Wario being amazing, dont believe it, trust me, the general public decide what happens in the gaming world, and they are making the right choice - go with quality games, ditch kiddy Wii-Wii-Wario. I know about this stuff, my dad works where they make Playstaion games, and he says that casual gamers are loving Resistance. I dont blame them, its an awesome game.

PS3_FTW

1) Why would the store clerk address peopleĀ as "sheep"?

2) Why is the store clerk so biased in his remarks?

The answer is: This thread is bull****, and the topic creator conjured up this thread seeking damage control.

Halo looks better. MGS2 is undoubtably the better game, though....

I was asked to repost this message.Ā  Here ya go..

First of all, Iā€™m not advocating drinking beer in any quantity.Ā  Iā€™m using it as a metaphor ā€“ enough said.

The console wars are like beerā€¦.

The first beer, like the NES, is very refreshing and thereā€™s nothing quite like it.

The second beer is like SNES, as good as the first but even better baby!

Then there is the third beer, which is like PS and N64.Ā  Here, we are turning the corner, but more is still better.

So, on to the fourth beer which is like PS2, Xbox, and GC.Ā  Now where rollā€™in! Ā This is where we always wanted to be, but somehow we think more is still better.

Naturally, we opt for the fifth beer which is like the 360 and PS3.Ā  Once we have it though, we find it wasnā€™t really that much better than the one before and not any more fun.

Then we think - maybe more!Ā  So on to the sixth, seventh, eight and so on.Ā  At this point, we start to work backwards, and what started out as good time has turned into a trip to the porcelain god, $600.00 down the tubes, and promises to never drink or play video games again.Ā Ā

Hereā€™s my pointā€¦

Somewhere between the fourth and fifth beer, Nintendo realized the graphics were good enough already, and ordered a water and plate of nachos.Ā  Sony and Microsoft are now at the bar doing tequila shots and planning a trip to the ti**y bar.Ā  Someone needs to remind them that they need to be up to secure market share tomorrow at 6:00am.

follis12

Now that you put it THAT way, I'm sure someĀ people here will understand you completely.. :P

[QUOTE="Xgsa-Vortex"]

[QUOTE="Sony_Casual"]Im sad to say, sheep, that it's over. The DS will reign no more, not in NA, not in Europe, and not even in Japan.

Now, I know you're saying, 'Why is that Sony_Casual ? Please, tell us more !'. Well, I don't really need to say much more. All I have to do is link you THIS game. 50 Cent : Bulletproof G Unit Edition. As if playing as fiddy wasn't enough, now you get to play as Lloyd Banks, Yayo, and others. This is NOT a rehash. Far from it, the game has had it's style completely redone, and is it ever looking amazing. This years edition is in OVERHEAD perspective. A camera angle that hasn't been done in a long time, but will be reborn and probably made the standard after the release of B:GUE.

Taken straight from the article "The combat engine is surprisingly complex." No, this isn't your typical button mashing Zelda, or Mario game. This game takes skill. Skill you can only obtain from the streets.

Another HUGE selling point of this game is the fact that it can help you in real life situations. Need to get hyped up for the gang war tonight ? Not a problem. Bulletproof has you covered. Since this is G Unit Edition, you can prepare not only yourself, but your TEAMWORK. Also, it's handheld. What does this have to do with anything ? Ill tell you. You can play it all the way up until that first punch is throw (or bat is swung) and you will NEVER lose your hype. In fact, this game is SCIENTIFICALLY proven to reduce gang fights by a drastic SEVENTY-FIVE percent. How ? Because gangs throughout the United States have started using this game to solve there problems, through the brand new, ONLINE MODE. Team up with your gang, grab a bat, and go at it with gangsters from around the world. You thought Halo 2 was good online, wait till you try this.

Now, it may seem like a button masher, but there is also strategic ways to play this game. For example, you can find a prostitute on your side in the online game, and make her go out and sell cheap to OTHER gangs. What's this do ? It gives the opposing gangs STD's causing them to be hospitalized, or even worse, die. It also has other side effects which havent yet been disclosed.

So, pick up your gat, grab a bat, and go to your local EB and preorder this game.

This WILL be the HANDHELD GOTY 2006. Mark.my.words.
