quick update

I just finished zelda phantom hourglass it was an epic game i will probably play it again to get gold ship parts. I have also beat REUC that was a really good game.. I am about 78% through Okami and am really enjoying it. I am tired of all the posts about the Wii being for casual gamers. Those people are idiots or should i say those kids need to grow up some! the Wii is a great system. Not sure what game to play on my DS next help me out and let me know what you think. You can check the games i have you know how lol. So glad I am done with PH been playing it all year lol

SMG has been beaten

Well it's over. Super Mario Galaxy was a great game and I have completed it 100%. It took a while but I have 242 total stars. 121 with Mario and 121 with Luigi. No time to talk more now, however I will be doing a review. Fanatastic game. Almost done with Manhunt 2 so I will be starting Metroid Prime 3 Corruption tonight. Yeahhhhh!!

February 2008

I have just finished my first review on here and plan on doing many more I hope. My first is for Resident Evil 4 on the Wii. Check it out and tell me what you think. Fantastic game. I have also beaten Zelda TP but probably will not review that one. I recently finished Super Paper Mario with 100% of everything. That took me almost 70 hours or so! I know I play slow . I am in the middle of Super Mario Galaxy (have finished as Mario) and am now going back through with Luigi ( about 45 stars or so). I am also playing ManHunt 2 which I find to be very enjoyable even though it rated rather low. I will probably do reviews on those three when I have time. I just picked up 2 more games this past weekend (as it was my birthday) and look forward to them (Godfather The Black Hand Edition and Sims 2 Castaway). Just last night I ordered Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicals and still have Metroid Prime 3 Corruption, which I have had for a while, to play. I find it difficult to be involved with more than one or two at a time so I buy them and get to them when I can. Of course my DS also keeps me busy and I am currently playing Animal Crossing Wild World, Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass, and Final Fantasy III. I really like the DS and play it almost more than my Wii. The games being cheaper helps and I currently own 13 for it. That's it for now but I will try and make entries here more often as I know everyone so looks forward to it. :D Say hi when you see me on-line. Oh yeah one more thing. I am looking for a AC Wild World friend to visit my town so I can finish off Nooks store. Thanks in advance!!

Back again

I really need to write here more often!! lol Well recently I have purchased a Wii and just a couple weeks ago I bought a DS. I totally love both systems. I have finished Zelda TP and RE4 on the Wii. Great games both of them. I am currently playing SPM and am almost done as I am in world 8. However I am trying to do all the extras included with the game (recipes-pit of 100 trials-maps). I have metroid 3 and just bought manhunt 2. Looking forward to playing both of them. On the DS I am playing Zelda PH and Animal Crossing Wild World. I am going to buy Dementium The Ward but it is not available at my local Wal Mart yet. I have hardly played a computer game in like weeks so i need to give some attention that way however i am having a lot of trouble. I am not surprised because both Nintendo systems are just FUN to play. People can complain all they want about the graphics but playing games is about way more than how good the graphics are. The interaction with these two systems is what sets them apart from all the rest. I will be back :-)

Back at it

Well it has been a while. Too busy playing games lol. I have made some upgrades to my rig since I bought it. After all it has been a while. I put in another gig of RAM so I am now running 4 sticks of 512 in dual channel. I also finally upgraded from my 6800GT to a 7950GT. It is the evga KO superclocked model. This is one nice card and overclocks something fierce. It came clocked at 600/1450. I am running it at 650/1600 and have had no problems. It idles at 49° and gets up to the high 60's under load.  My 6800 used to reach the upper 80's playing NWN2. My 3dmark06 went from low 2000's to just over 5000 after my upgrade. Nice! I hope to make more regular visits here so we will see how that goes. Currently I am still playing Morrowind ( been at it for a year). It IS a great game. I am in the bloodmoon expansion pack so it will be done soon. I am also playing the expansion pack for FEAR, extraction point. That is also a great game. I have installed Oblivion and NWN2 but have yet to really play either of them. Soon though. Thats all for now.

Entry1

Hello All GameSpot Members

My name is Don, I live in NY, and I thought I would start to keep a journal to give me something to do and to record my thoughts on my computer and the games I play. I started gaming in the 80 's. My first PC was an Atari. I remember I had an Atari 800 and my friend had a Radio Shack TRS 80. We used to argue even back then about who had the best machine lol Some things never change. As I recall even though my Atari 800 had way better graphics but the TRS 80 had the better games. Some games I fondly remember playing were Supreme Ruler on the TRS 80 and Mars Tesoras on my Atari 800. The years have done by and the computers have come and gone. I have owned 2 Gateway computers in recent history. They were good machines but I always cheaped out so never had a "top of the line" rig. I also am not comfortable trying to build my own although I think I might try sometime soon in the future. My gaming is now complete as I recently bought an Alienware rig with all top of the line components. I have a P4 650 with 2MB level 2 cache at a speed of 3.4 ghz and a 800FSB. I have 1024 of DDR2 PC4200 ram. I will soon improve this to 2048MB. My video card is a Gforce 6800 GT with 256MB. I wish I had held out for the 512 MB version but what you gonna do lol. I am running XP home and have gr8 5.1 surround sound on my LogitechZ-5300E 280 watt speakers. I did cheap a bit on the monitor, a BenQ 17" LCD but I also hope to upgrade this soon. I love most all kinds of games as you can tell from my collection and they all run on "high quality" on my Area 51. It is fast and sleek and a pleasure to use. I will continue to update this journal with my thoughts on gaming , life, and my experiences in the games I play. BTW i am an older gamer, 45 currently, and would welcome some gamer friends. My current game I am playing hard is Doom3 and I love it. I am almost to the end but more on that in the next entry :-) happy gaming and more soon
