yea I think ill settle at that, I had to put it down to 765 because Id get some really small artifacts after a while, but now it runs fine, Crysis is very playable at VH so its all I wanted :)

Hello, Ive recently bought a new system which i then proceeded to overclock

Q6600 quad core 2.4ghz running at 3.6ghz

nforce 780i sli motherboard

OCZ sli ready pc6400 4 gb ram
evga e-geforce 8800 gts 512
500 gb sata drive
samsuge 305t 30 inch (still shipping sad.gif ) still using old 20 inch
Ultra Chilltec cooler

Anyways, I overclocked the gfx card to 805 clock speed and 1080, ran 3d mark perfect, world if conflict benchmark, but I was getting small artifacts in crysis at very high, so I put it down to 783/1050, the thing is, at 60% speed fan, its at 39 degrees, and at full load it never goes over 52...so I was wondering why I can"t overclock more then that, if i go over 805 and 1080, i crash in 3dmark , getting a d3d error and freeze in world in conflict benchmark, anyways thanks for the help!

Btw, I did 15551 in 3dmark06 with those settings, and can run crysis on Very high with no problems on a 20 inch, will probably change when i get my 30 incher tho :P

Btw, can if anyone knows if the ram i have can be overclockable, if I move it to 1067, it runs no problem, but the latency jumps from 544 to 655 :

You will be fine playing crysis at those settings if you enjoy playing a 5 FPS.hacker_xyzzy

Its ok, i can lower the settings, i mean if you tell me its that much worth it getting another card then this one, I dont mind, money isnt that big of a problem, I just dont want to buy the best there is, just to change it for a 9 series in a year lol

two GTX can't max crysis at 1900x1200 so you have no chance with a 8800GTS 640mb (the 640mb GTS is a bad choce since the 8800GTS and 8800GTS 512mb are both much much better cards) adam0926

are you certain? Are you sure your looking at the EVGA 8800 GTS SSC one? I was pretty sure it was the best gts

Hello, I'm planning on a buying a new computer really soon, and i was thinking about getting myself a 30 inch monitor instead of 2 24 , for gaming and other purposes, but I was wondering, since the 30 inch monitor's native res is around 2560x1600, ill need a good video card to run a game like crysis decently at high settings, here are the specs for the new comp im going to get, and will a 8800 gts SSC be enough? or if anyone has benchmarks of crysis running at 2560x1600 would be nice to see them, or just in general if there are pieces that I shouldnt get versus ones i should. Thx for the help
