Xbox 360 Overheating?

Just did a bit of searching on the internet on my xbox 360, and found out that many people's xbox 360 were prone to overheating. Well, that's probably true, since my xbox 360 has been emitting hot air ever since i started playing with it.

Something interesting to note though. It seems that all xbox 360 elites hav a new heatsink installed in them. Some of the xbox 360s that have been sent for repair have also come back with new heatsinks inside their motherboard. Fascinating. =D

Oh ya, if you would like to check whether the new heatsink is in your xbox 360, all you have to do is tilt the xbox 360, so that the side without the harddrive is facing up. Then, get a good camera with flash, and place its lens directly on the cover of the xbox 360 (the side that's facing up). When you're ready, take a picture WITH flash and try to focus the camera lens so that you're able to see the inside of the xbox 360. If you look closely, you should be able to see something copper-like inside the xbox 360.

Most probably all you'll see is some yellow and black battery-shape-like things, and if you zoom in you should see something like a metal plate. If that's the case, it means that your xbox 360 DOES NOT have the new heatsink.

Too bad mine doesn't have the new heatsink. The external fan i placed beside it still dosen't help it cool down. Guess i'll just have to find other ways to cool it.

XBOX 360 RULES!!!
