From Prince of Persia to Bionic Commando. From Lost Planet to Command and Conquer. Reboots and Sequels seem to be all people have to offer. A new idea popping up here and there, I feel like sequels and reboots are overrunning games level of creativity. And sure, the game may be quality, but it's nothing creative or new or innovative. A game like Mirrors Edge doesn't do well? Why? The game was suprisingly innovative and new.
Videogames are art. Interactive works of art. Are we losing our artist mind under the idea of "well, it was good so lets make another." I undertsand, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. But teams who aren't afriad of new end up accomplishing a lot, even if it isn't immediately.
