Our existence, so insignificant

Years pass, we'll all be gone

Flesh eaten by maggots

Rotting and alone

A stone rests above

Words, as worthless as the life below

No prayers are offered

No graves are visited

Where we stop, they continue

Forgetting we were ever there

Time erases the marks we left

Memories falter and fail

So we're left

Sighs on the winter breeze

Our footsteps wisped away

By the winds of time

We were never there

Our desperate cries

Fall upon deaf ears

We'll never forget

All just lies

Comfort the dying

So insignificant

They all forget
