Ok. Im convinced. No liquid cooling needed lol. The thought of posting on facebook about my new "liquid cooling desktop" sounded awesome. But if I can save some money not needing it. will do. and I suppose the 16 gig ram isnt necc. I can focus on 8 gig ram and a more expensive gphix card then thanks for the input! When I get the comp however, I will need to figure out how to set things to over clock lol...

well i decided to get a 500 watt supply, since it is "reccomended". Ok so liquid cooling is not needed unless I wan't to overclock got it. I did plan to overclock the processor up to like 3.3 ghz, which to my understanding isn't much. this will prolly be the fan I get then unless i decide to get lliquid cooling anway...

is it possible to over clock gphix cards? Because in theory I could just get the liquid cooling and over clock Processor and Gphix if I decided. Wouldn't need to upgrade then lol. Does liquid cooling require any form of mantenance? I do intend to put a lot of money into this PC over time, such as. If I am able I plan to replace gphix card with something in the like $150 range, as well as get up to the 16 gig ram

o.k. I dropped the liquid cooling for a standard cooling fan and upgraded the gphix card to a

  • NVIDIA GeForce GT 240 1GB 16X PCI Express

Only a minor upgrade but will that do? its "3D ready". because shipping is so expensive I can't really go any higher. Also the Gphix cards you suggested require a high watted power supply. Would it be worth my while to just get the liquid cooling and poor Gphix card and just get a better gphix card when I can? also, what exactly is liquid cooling?

I made this off Cyberpower.com. Is it o.k? I only play SC2 and WoW. Old Republic when it comes out.

  1. Intel® Core™ i3-530 2.93 GHz 4M Intel Smart Cache LGA1156Asetek 510LC
  2. Liquid Cooling System 120MM Radiator & Fan (Enhanced Cooling Performance + Extreme Silent at 20dBA)
  3. Asus P7H55 Intel H55 Express Chipset DDR3 LGA1156 ATX w/ 7.1 HD Audio, GbLAN, USB2.0, SATA-II, 1 Gen2 PCIe, 3 PCIe X1 & 3 PCI
  4. 4GB (2GBx2) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Module (Corsair or Major Brand)
  5. NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 1GB 16X PCI Express (Major Brand Powered by NVIDIA)

I'm not looking for anything uber powered. It's an upgrade to what I have now and just wanted to get something that I can upgrade easily over time.

Don't suppose you can tell me if it will play SC2 really well?

*Sigh* Does this even call for a respectable response? Look at SMG2. It got a 10 here and is the highest rated game of all time. Why? Because it had NEW ideas and NEW mechanics all highly polished doesn't matter its the same character we all know and love.IppoTenma
I didn't say they were bad games. I just said its the same thing. I played both Mario Galaxies and didn't see much a change in the second. mechanics still the same. Which, IMO would be fine if it wasnt the 25'th Mario title and 1 of 6 games that help make Wii more fun

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Great games are great games, whether they come from a long running series or not.SteveTabernacle
I suppose. But to my knowledge it has been like. 1 or 2 Mario games a system. 1 Zelda game etc. But now it's multiple games on the same thing really. it's as if its all they have left to make them money outside DS. and, being "Motion Control" won't be their big gimmick anymore. Although I don't think Move or Kinect will really pick up until they each have some sorta "omg awesome 1337" game.

[QUOTE="Yajarobi"]The time spent on makeing a 2D "fighting game". which im sure is a matter of hours anyway.SteveTabernacle
That's all I need to read to realize you know absolutely nothing about game development of any type of game, least of all 2d fighters. (which would include games using 3d graphics but played on a 2d field, btw, such as SF4 and MVC3)

it was inteded to be more of a joke...lol

Like, at the summary of Nintendo's presentation at E3 2010. Did you see the Video game line ups? Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Mario, Kid Icarus.

Granted, Icarus is more "new", still! Those are all titles we have played for the past 10 years. Mario galaxy was cool and I am interested in the new Metroid but common nintendo. Even I am starting to get bored with the same figgen game play over and over. Lack of good cotent outside the these titles makes me think Nintendo will simply go all handheld in the upcoming years...
