Other then the Charge shot, Megaman, if modeled correctly, would play nothing like Samus. People only compare them by their Charge Shot capabilities (assuming Megaman will have one) and thats all.
But honestly, Megaman has PLENTY of extra potential. I honestly hope he gets added. If that were to happen..i would be able to die happy =)

Metal Arms: Glitch inthe System was a third person shooter which was really overlooked. It came out for the Gamecube, Ps2 and Xbox It was a very fun game that became very hard in the later levels (to this day...i havn't been able to beat it. I get really far into a level...die and start 10 minutes before..and thats very frusterating)
The multiplayer sucked ass but the story mode was worth the price.The game had42 action packed levels, being uncommonly long for a game of its genre. There were about 9 weapons (with upgrades to boot)and near 5-ish secondary weapons.
But what i liked most about this game..was it's humor. Just listening to the dialogue always made me laugh. haha they weren't afraid to drop an F-bomb or 5
