the vita chambers in general were kinda dumb and made no sense. mrbojangles25

yup

a game you cannot lose is pointless, and the vita chambers made it that way.

And System Shock 2 didn't have its own "Vita Chambers"? The difference is that it explained how it worked in the game?
It must be the wire. What type of wire are you using?teddyrob

He said crossover cable. I've used crossover cable myself and had no problems with it.

That cable could either be a 10BASE-T (Twisted Pair Cable) or a 10BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet Cable), although I doubt the latter, I still believe he has faulty wiring inside the RJ-45's shell. And about the router issue, why not just use a Hub/Bridge? Routers are 3-layer Switches, whereas Bridges are only 2-layer. If he gets a bridge it would be cheaper. But the cheapest and fastest is no doubt the Crossover Cable. I've got a LAN set-up with a couple of friends, and we use Bridges for our connection. If our PC's were close together, we would have just went with the fastest and most reliable transmission media: The Twisted Pair (Fiber Optic would be overkill for our demand), just like the TC has done.

It must be the wire. What type of wire are you using? I would check the RJ-45s. There might be faulty wiring inside the RJ's shell.

I don't think Circuit City has the EVGA GTX280 (Superclocked Edition) in stock anymore, neither does Newegg, as I just checked both sites. I can't purchase things online, because I do not reside in the States. My friend is on holiday there now, and I just gave him the money to get me one. I did my research before throwing my money in the market, but I was unaware of Best Buy's bargain. It's one thing to ask your friend to click a couple of times and have a product delievered to his residence, but it's another thing when I ask him to go get my product in person. I don't like being a liability really.

The card cost me $255 from Circuit City (Purchased it around 2 weeks ago). And thanks for the heads up!

EDIT: I think I read somewhere that the GTX285 outperforms the GTX280 (Not OC'd) by 10% performance increase. And I'm buying the Superclocked Edition.

So basically the PSU I'm going to purchase would suffice and the latter contains both the 8 and 6-pin connectors, for both should be connected to the VGA. Thanks for the quick reply guys.

I have purchased the EVGA GTX280 (Superclocked Edition) VGA card from Circuit City. With such a purchase, it looks like I'm going to replace my existing PSU and Case (For better cooling). So I've decided to go with the Thermaltake V9 but what worries me is the PSU. I've got my eye on the Epsilon 600W PSU (Think it's adequate even though the minimum requirement posted on Circuit City is 475W?).

But then comes the whole issue concerning the 6 and 8-pin connectors. The question is: Do I need them both? In other words, do I need to connect both the 6 and 8 connectors to the VGA or just one of them? Or maybe neither? Might be a "n00b-ish" question, but I hope you bare with me seeing how it's my first next-gen VGA upgrade.

Thanks in advance.

Hmhmh...Photobucket ? I detect a 'shop

Well actually I used the SpeedTest around 8 days ago (If you noticed on the top right corner of the image), and my initial post was on the 25th (2 days ago). So one can generally come to the conclusion that I saved the image in my Photobucket account for future use. Yes?
Or I may have used Photoshop (As you claim), uploaded it to my Photobucket account, and came up with a convincing story in the same minute... Who knows? The cake has always been a lie ;)
I'm not even remotely interested in the Sims after the whole adware and securom deal in 2. The issue here is they are trying to decieve fans with a fallacy, sure the game is securom free but to update it you have to install securom. I am sort of suprised people don't just crack the updates and put them on one of various sites like they do with no-cds or removing drm (not saying where for obvious reasons; just using it as a point moderators).

They do that...

I'm glad my $40 aren't going down the drain every month.
