[QUOTE="jaxeryo"]That's ridiculous. Have you ever played any DQ game?... The best description of DQ's story is I believe this part of one of DQVIII reviews: "Dragon Quest games always had simple, naive story lines...It tells a simple, naive story line, knowing that it is simple and naive. It tells it with a kind smile that accompanies the game from the beginning to the end. At no point in the game will you feel that the story is banal and corny. Because the game doesn't try to convince you otherwise. On the contrary, it invites you to laugh together. Playing "Dragon Quest VIII" is like returning as an adult to the place where you grew up. You see that all the things that looked so big are now smaller, and you laugh when you think how they seemed so big to you before." And though DQ games made some awesome innovations back in the day, it tries to stay back to its roots, so I wouldn't say it has more variety than FF. Heck, they are too different.DQ and FF have a few major differences; here are the big ones I can think of;
-DQ's combat is first person while FF's is third person.
-DQ's stories are generally more serious, mature stories than FF stories.
-DQ tends to have more gameplay variety.
