That is the reason, sir, why you think 360 is the better system. I, to this date, still hate MGS's gameplay lol. But its story keeps me diving back into that mindless hide/seek mode (self-tourtue, maybe?) Honestly, if you want me to sum MGS up, it probably will be something like this.

"So-so gamplay with such a great story that made people finish and go back for more".

Beside, no other games does easter eggs like MGS :D

Are you kidding? MGS storylines are convulted and ridiculous, the only reason that I put up with them is becasue the gameplay is so good.
