NO! Every Halo system made can be found months later in stores. At least here in the US. I can remember the Halo 3 system being available at some Best Buys close to a year after release.

Doubt this since the X1 is getting mod support and Fallout 3, where as the PS4 is not.

I believe the days of a new system every 5 years are done. MS is only ending 360 support in 2016. I'm guessing Sony will do the same for the PS3. There is no way new systems will launch 3 years from now. I'm guessing 2020 will be the soonest.

While the PS4 has/is selling more systems, how many of those are actually being used? I know I bought into the hype and got my PS4 last Christmas (already had the X1 from launch). At first I thought it was great (a new toy) but over time I realized how much more I prefer the X1. So now my PS4 is used for exclusives only, while the X1 is used for everything else. I'm happy the PS4 is selling very well for Sony, we all know they needed it to after the PS3. It would been interesting if MS never announced their initial rules and released the X1 with Kinect as an option.

Sony fans will say PS4 for 1080p and MS fans will say X1 for games. Personally having both I prefer the X1. I use my PS4 for exclusives only.

Unless you really want to play 360 exclusives I would say no. Support is ending in 2016 and BC is coming to the X1 this year. I would just save your money to put towards the X1 and games.
