[QUOTE="airg6"][QUOTE="ferretzor"]Yup. I'm not into metal at all. Especially any with growling vocals. I don't see the appeal. jaydough
The growling vocals are the best part of death metal. They're agressive and very hard to do. By the way,not all metal bands use screaming and growling vocals. I don't believe you've actually tried it.
I've seen many metal bands with horrible vocalists. Yeah, they sound good are popular but have bad vocals and therefore ruin it for me. Good screaming and growling is not as common as you may think, unless of course you listen to good bads to which I say good for you! Cheers.
Hmm the chart says, blacks (non hispanic), whites (non hispanics), and mexican americans. Where are the hispanics? lol. Don't tell me they consider all hispanics mexican...
Why do people take it so seriously when someone doesn't like rap? I hate rap for it's "cars ho's cash" ethos (just saying that will bring the "not all it's about" backlash) and the lack of musical talent (no rhyming over a beat is not a musical talent).
But apparently having a negative view of the genre isn't my prerogative!
And no club I have ever been in plays rap. Occasionally some R&B but if it;s not playing house, I'm not in that club.
Manly-manly-man
How is rhyming over a beat, and in many cases making a beat, any less of a musical talent than singing over a beat in rock? It's the same process of having a beat/song, writing lyrics over said beat/song that fit whatever message you're trying to convey, and then repeating those lyrics in a fashion that makes it go well with the music.
You're assuming that lyrics and vocals are the only focus of other genres. Many rock and metal artists are praised for their instrumental virtousity instead of their vocals.
