By the time that happens, internet connections will have improved significantly so we would only lose the collectors. Gamers will continue gaming.

Sorry, but full DD blows chunks. You can't sell, rent, trade, or borrow from your friends, etc. Plus what will happen when your games, saves, etc., that are all stored onto the HDD, gets corrupted or if your HDD gets broken? What will happen when your favorite company goes bankrupt or when a certain server stops working totally? Plus don't even say back-ups, as that's not a guarantee, either.

With discs, cartridges, etc., they'll always be around. I like DD, but only when it's optional for gaming, & not mandatory.

Ditto!!! I just loaned out several games to a friend to play on xmas break. I'll simply just pick them up from him when I get back home from vacation!!!

And what happens if MS decides to go with DD and the HD crashes??? Will it be painful to retrieve all of your stored games??

I've had enough harddrives crash on me, but i've always had backups. In this case I would prefer a optical based format, with the ability to install the entire game on the HD!!!

Im not blindly trusting MS with their hardware again!!!

Wow what a great game id go so far as to say better than Guitar Hero 3 cause you dont get that grea feeling of playing with friends as you do with Rock Band also it might be because of the fresh songs (finally) i was getting a little sick of Guitar Hero 3's set.

Yeah, I like Rock Band better than Guitar Hero.

I bought it for my GF for Xmas (PS3). Now she wants me to buy it for the 360 so that we can have even more people at the house.
