[QUOTE="fuchuzz"]you would loose allot of people if you went all digitaldistribution, its a very risky move. I know a bunch of people who would refuse to buy games with out disks.garland51
By the time that happens, internet connections will have improved significantly so we would only lose the collectors. Gamers will continue gaming.
Sorry, but full DD blows chunks. You can't sell, rent, trade, or borrow from your friends, etc. Plus what will happen when your games, saves, etc., that are all stored onto the HDD, gets corrupted or if your HDD gets broken? What will happen when your favorite company goes bankrupt or when a certain server stops working totally? Plus don't even say back-ups, as that's not a guarantee, either.
With discs, cartridges, etc., they'll always be around. I like DD, but only when it's optional for gaming, & not mandatory.
Ditto!!! I just loaned out several games to a friend to play on xmas break. I'll simply just pick them up from him when I get back home from vacation!!!
Didnt cost my friend one cent!!!
