@ pharos: yea, you're right, but lets say you alrady have a pc for general purposes, a midrange one, a core 2 duo2.6 with 2gb ram and a 450 PSU , all u need to do is 2 plug in a 300$ VGA such as GTX260 or HD4870, and voila, you have a good gaming PC. An xbox 360 or a ps3 also require that u have an HD tv 2 truly benefit from them. a ps3 here costs alone 550$ and a xbox360 pro $480
Pharos a midrange pc isn't meant for gaming. Don't forget pc's arent consoles. if u bought a 8800 gtx two years ago(high end back then), it would still be fine tdy on most if not all games.
Nightkiller, games like diablo 3, starcraft and many strategy are meant for pc's. Even fps are better at pc's with key& mouses, not to mention better graphics.
I agree with you lane McNair, but i just HATE IT when i can't play a game on high, not " very high" especially when i bought a 360 vga, maybe i should have bought a 360.... :P
I just bought a gtx260 oc and it costs 360$ here in Lebanon, i must say i'm NOT impressed. I can't even run GTA4 on high setttings, high text with 40 view dist and get above 25 fps outside
